2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a very cloudy orange-golden color with a short, quickly dissipating off-white head. Piney, citrusy nose with toffee malt aromas becoming a little too overpowering for the style. Full body with a wet texture. A mildly harsh hop leads the roasted malt. Both merge midway to impart a distinct prune flavor.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of mango and a cloudy gold color with a little white head. It has a bitter hop flavor but has subtle sweet notes too. Complex.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours amber-orange with a foamy off-white head. Aroma is lots of pine and grapefruit, some toast and bready malt. Taste is orange and grapefruit, grainy malt, and medium bitterness with a bit of fusel alcohols or solvent like off-flavor. I’m guessing this was a bad bottle, and I’ll re-rate if I get a chance to try a fresher one.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy bright orange in color with a pale, but bright white head, this has a soapy, somewhat tropical, slightly citrusy hop nose and some possible pilsener malts present. The flavor is grainy, a little reminiscent of a Belgian ale. It has a nice level of hop flavor for the variety, and the body, although thin, still offers a potent mouthfeel that I feel I have to thank the yeast for. It’s not your everyday IPA, for certain, and you’d likely enjoy it if you’re into Belgian pales. Some nice hop flavor makes up for some of the almost unpleasant finishing notes.

Draft from notes. Pine resin hops and bready malt. Very good beer but nothing to go crazy over.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ Rubicon. Golden orange pour with a white head. Nose is orange, grapefruit, and floral hops. Some pine, bread, and toasted malt. Not bad. Flavor is decent as well. Moderate bitterness, some grapefruit hop notes, and a touch of orange. A bit more bread forward than I’d like, however.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden color but hazy with a white foam. Aroma is a mix of citrus, melon, and malt caramel. Hop bitterness is distinctive. Flavors of malt and bread clash with the hop citrus and red fruits. Finish is dry and bitter.
