Off the tap at the brew pub. Thin head with medium straw colored body. The aroma is great: grapefruit and lemon. The taste is smooth with a good dose of malt and moderate bitterness. The texture is crisper with moderate carbonation and medium body. It’s a nice, easy drinking ale and flavorful.

Draft. Pour is reddish amber. Off white head. Aroma is grassy and light citrus with some soft bread and caramel. Taste is bitter initially with some sweet malt character. More in line with an amber ale but still pretty good. A bit of slickness, almost butter, as it warms.

8 oz pour at Rubicon. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of light citrus, light floral notes. Weak aroma. Tastes of citrus, bitter hops, pine, light soapy notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Friend gushed over this beer on the way to the brewpub but I thought it was just average.

Transparent red brown in color. It had a very sweet aroma and mild flavor which finished very clean. Refreshing and not over powering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nose of biscuit, cracker, hints of citrus. Pours a clear amber with thin non-lasting head and moderate lacing. The taste is overall bitter with a malt backbone. Medium body and medium crisp carbonation. Overall, an enjoyable hoppy pale ale.

Bottle. Really odd pistachio aroma with no hops in the nose. Crystal clear dark gold. Thin white head. Very dry without the perfumy fruity tastes that I like in an APA. Just ok. Another brew I bought because Draft magazine rated it highly only to be disappointed.

Nice dry hop aroma. Session able at 5.4% abv very balanced and clean beer. True to the style of an American Pale Ale. Nice touch with the mount hood hops.

Just nothing exciting in this one. Pale lemon tangerine pour with a small ivory head. Slight dusty citrus, caramel malt; and honey. Thinner mouthfeel. Meh.

FROM NOTES: August 7, ’12 On tap, poured into a half-yard at The Yardhouse-San Jose. A: Strong citrus hops with notes of grapefruit and orange rind with some sweet malts joining in to balance. Not a lot of complexity or depth, but still pleasing. A: Poured a light orange/amber with a thin tan head that left decent spots of lacing down the glass. T: Malt forward but with strong earthy, almost grassy hops. The malt is not overly sweet or caramely, and it has a nice roasted, bready flavor to it. Faint pepper in the finish. P: Light bodied with a very thin, watery texture. Finishes bittersweet with a dry, very faint lingering bitterness on the palate. O: Good drinking and refreshing enough. Flavors are crisp and clean, wish there were more hops.
