A dark clear brown porter with a thin moka head. Musty herbal chocolate aroma. In mouth, a chocolate malt, lightly roasted, with nutty notes, lighter bodied, but quite nice. Bought at Booze Bros, Reno, August 2007. Sampled June 8, 2008.

Pours a dark reddish-brown with a small amber head that shrinks quickly. Smokey malty aroma with some coffee notes. Dry malty flavor up front with a hint of coffee. Finishs dry with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Pours a transparent mahogany with ruby hues and a spotty-lacing light tan head. Aroma of lightly sweet, doughy caramel malts with a touch of milk chocolate character. Body starts a little thinner and effervescent with some mild roasty and chocolatey malts before a drier, coffee finish. Finishes smooth and bittersweet with some lingering roasted maltiness.

12 ounce bottle thanks to Craig. Pours a dark color almost black with a small white head. The aroma is sweet coffee and some roast. The flavor is nice; vanilla, milky coffee, lingering coffee in the finish, some nutty flavors. Simple, clean and nice.

Dark black color with light head and no lacing. Nose of robust roast and light coffee, vanilla. The flavor is fairly 2 dimensional, roast and sharp carbonation but has some smoothness to it. Finishes non-creamy and a bit bitter but overall tasty. Nice find!

Bottled. I thought that this was an excellent porter. The body was dark brown with some garnet at the edges. A light brown colored head. The aroma was strong cocoa with some light coffee. There were also some roasted peanuts. The taste was cocoa with some light coffee. The body had low carbonation and that helped to make this easy to drink. Very nicely done.

Bottle picked up at Ben’s discount liquors in Winnemucca
Appearance: Pours dark mahogany with a medium sized beige head and good lacing
Aroma: Roasted coffee and dark malts
Taste: Rich roasted coffee, roasted malts, chocolate and nutty
A nice porter.

Smells almost like a smoked porter. Reddish brown with little head. Flavoring is more reminiscent of a nut brown ale than a porter - not that sweet, but has some tanginess. The slight dryness in the finish is unfortunate.
