Brewed for Union Jacks. Formerly Legacy Hoptimus Prime. Aggressively formulated with five different hop varieties, Hoptimus Prime is then dry hopped for two weeks, ensuring a MASSIVE hop flavor and aroma. Perfectly balanced with three types of malt, Hoptimus Prime is truly the pinnacle of hop flavor. This Double IPA pairs fantastically with spicy Thai food, Mexican cuisine, or a big ol’ bowl of chili.

[5364-20130518] Bottle. Some hard liquor vodka in the aroma. Hazy, dark brown body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Bitter toasted grains and a bit of smooth lemon rind in the flavour. Medium body. Good, great name too. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2014 Pours hazy jasper, fluffy thin off white head. Aroma is grapefruit, oranges, pine needles and a little caramel. Taste is bitter with flavors of caramel, nectarines, oranges and a little bit of spice and resin. Good mouthfeel, fizzy and bitter with a dry lingering finish.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2014 650ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber, finger of off white head, good lacing. Aromas of strong hoppy citrus, grapefruit, caramel, some tropical fruits, pineapple. Taste up front the citrus smacks you in the face with a grapefruit, in a good way, some light caramel notes. Medium carbonation. And rolls into an amazing bitter lingering finish, not overbearing. Excellent beer.

Pretty certain I reviewed a different beer when I thought I first had it on tap. This is an update. On tap. Slightly hazy copper, no cap. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, toffee, biscuit. Taste is a citrusy sweetness upfront, with a gentle rindy bitterness. Medium carbonation.

Murky copper pour with an off-white head. Big aromas of citrus peel an a bit of an herbal note coming through as well. Flavor is hop forward but there’s bit of a sharp flavor in there that I can’t pinpoint exactly but almost a tartness...strange. Anyways the hop flavors are nice and the abv well-hidden. Not too shabby. Thanks to Mikeq215 for the bottle!

Rating #823 - December 11, 2013 - Beer 4 of 6 in the Coop Discovery Bag for December 9%. Pours a hazy copper with a fairly frothy head. sticky lacing. Aroma is mild orange, lemon, lime, mild floral aroma.Taste is mild sweetness (citrusy, piney, floral) and a lingering bitterness - cookie dough, caramel malt character really brought out. Would have loved more pine/resin on the palate, turned out to be more of a fruit bomb for me.

Bomber. Brewed in Wilkes -Barre , Pennsylvania not NY, NY as stated. Pours a dark hazy dark orange color with a small head. Nose is deep citrus, sweet with piney notes. Taste is a wonderful sweet tropic blend, rather flavor and quite easy to drink. Finishes sweetly on the palate , a dam good DIPA. Quaff Score 8 / 10
