3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at RFD. Pours a clear, yellowish-orange color; off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Pleasant, resiny hop aroma. Dense, chewy hop presence (citrus, floral) with some decent candy sugar maltiness; slightly dry, plasticy flavor. Medium, dry hop and citrus bitterness in the finish.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft at Capones. Pours deep golden with a large light tan head. Aroma of hops, citrus, pineapples, and caramel malts. The flavor is slightly sweet caramel and pineapples upfront, then the citrusy characteristics pop out, and finishes with a bitter dryness, very nice.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Fluffy beige head leaves lovely lacing atop hazy apple juice body. Aroma is moderately sweet, pineapple, some grapefruit, light caramel. Taste is moderately sweet, pineapple/grapefruit, some caramel, apricot. Nice bitterness that lingers. Chewy medium body. Alcohol virtually invisible -- only the sweetness suggests what lies within. Silly name, but great beer.

1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
OK, so I admit to the fact I enjoy watching the 3D beast wars. This beer has a typical ubiquitous pale yellow american beer appearance including the head at first. It was on tap at the Bocktown, thanks to Chris and dstchef. The aroma is that of a pine tree in sapping. There are also hints of floral hops in there. Head keeps hanging, it does not fade like any brew. First taste is bitter, bitter and more bitter like I am chewing on the rinds of a florida grapefruit picked right off the tree. What is it these hop lovers love about these brew? I donít think I can ever get used to this, wasnít hops used as a preservative? Why use them now, just flavor enhancers? I donít get it. This is just what I expected for this style. An impact that is just plain offensive and derogatory. It is like bitter medicine. Medium carbonation. Finish reminds me of the energizer bunny; the back of the throat bitterness just keeps going and going. Typical acrid bitterness that I associate with the IPA style. Will not buy again, but if you like hops, put this on your list of íto tryí.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler from Bierkraft. Looks great - orangey amber color with a bubbly white head and nice lacing. Itís a little too cold, but the aroma comes through - pine, resin, hops, vitrus, grass, and floral components. Thereís also a nice malty and vanilla component, making the aroma fairly balanced, kind of uncommon for a DIPA. East coast IPA flavor - not super hoppy, but definitely hoppy enough. Long bitter finish. A little flat in the flavor department, good still, I was just expecting more. Above average, and I have to kill the growler myself - 9.1%, uh oh.
