Color is dark hazy orange. Thin head. Aroma bitter orange zest. Light zest bitter beer. Bottle was way too old. Almost soapy. If you like buying orange/lemon peels get this. Not happy. I wish I had a fresher beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
650ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber, finger of off white head, good lacing. Aromas of strong hoppy citrus, grapefruit, caramel, some tropical fruits, pineapple. Taste up front the citrus smacks you in the face with a grapefruit, in a good way, some light caramel notes. Medium carbonation. And rolls into an amazing bitter lingering finish, not overbearing. Excellent beer.

Pretty certain I reviewed a different beer when I thought I first had it on tap. This is an update.
On tap. Slightly hazy copper, no cap. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, toffee, biscuit. Taste is a citrusy sweetness upfront, with a gentle rindy bitterness. Medium carbonation.

Murky copper pour with an off-white head. Big aromas of citrus peel an a bit of an herbal note coming through as well. Flavor is hop forward but there’s bit of a sharp flavor in there that I can’t pinpoint exactly but almost a tartness...strange. Anyways the hop flavors are nice and the abv well-hidden. Not too shabby. Thanks to Mikeq215 for the bottle!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rating #823 - December 11, 2013 - Beer 4 of 6 in the Coop Discovery Bag for December 9%. Pours a hazy copper with a fairly frothy head. sticky lacing. Aroma is mild orange, lemon, lime, mild floral aroma.Taste is mild sweetness (citrusy, piney, floral) and a lingering bitterness - cookie dough, caramel malt character really brought out. Would have loved more pine/resin on the palate, turned out to be more of a fruit bomb for me.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a deep golden color, a little hazy, with some of the thickest head I’ve seen in a beer. I mean this head is legendary. Aroma is of malts, hops, citrus, some booze, and resin. Medium to full body. Flavor is very well balanced. I can pick up malts, hops, citrus, bread, slight grapefruit, and a little pine. Leaves a nice hop finish. This one definitely lives up to the hype. I’ve been wanting to try this one for a while and happy I finally have.
