3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks to my sister-in-law for picking this one up for me. Pale amber pour. The aroma is softly malty. A touch of toasted biscuit along with a little bit of earthy/woody hoppiness. Fairly estery (light berry and a touch of marmalade) but it is balanced by a nice fresh earthy UK hoppiness. A little bit of soft fruit and a touch of light bitterness. It’s pretty nicely balanced really. A simple, quaffable ale.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light amber body with a small creamy off white head and good lacing (3+). Mild aroma is lightly fruity with their house yeast notes, mild malt and hops that I assume to be fuggles from the description. Flavour is a bit like a fruitier yeasty take on an English bitter perhaps? Well balanced, just a touch more hops would make this a very solid brew to have a few pints of, and satisfy my hop desires a bit more. Quite quaffable, pleasant.
