Soft pillow head, smells of faint hops and barley with some hay. Nice white header and a solid beautiful bronze colour. Crispy bitter, with an oily sweetness to it. A bit oily, crips on the tip of the tongue, tastes of roasted barley, toffee hints. Well balanced late afternoon pint.

cask at No. 2 Baker’s Street in Stirling - Pours amber and has a light aroma of caramel malt. The flavor is caramel malt sweetness with light bitterness. It’s smooth and overall a decent quaff.

Cask at Garrick Pub, London - dug up some old notes circa Dec 2007. Served at room temperature. Pours beautifully clean deep amber body with dense white head and lace. Moderate carbonation, decent body of malt, creamy texture. Fruity nose; dark berries, malty toffee, which follows through to the body. Quite a different British ale.

Clear amber colour with okay head. Sour lambic-like beer - but in a nice way... Backlog.

Cask. Poured amber with a bit of an orange hue and a ivory head. Aroma had grain from the malts and floral notes from the hops. Flavor was a bit more malt based with both caramel and sweet grains coming through with an undertone of the floral hops.

Cask at Bag o’ Nails, Westminster. Copper red colour with a foamy, white head. Fruity hops and sweet malt in the aroma. Some caramel notes in the otherwise malty aroma that also includes hints of fruitiness. Hoppy aftertaste with some citric fruits. Nice bitter.

Cask Conditioned Handpump Cordwainer Northampton. A copper coloured beer with a big whitish head. Not much going on in the aroma just a bit of yeasty dishwater. Banana yeasty notes in the mouth with some fruit and sulphur. Ordinary.
