Cask handpull at Admiral Owen, Sandwich. Deep brown colour with thin disappearing white head. Apple, caramel and some yeast on the aroma. Bit tart in mouth with apple blossom perfumed apple fruit finish. Not how I remember it. Certainly more appley

Orange amber, very little head. Scent is very malty with an alcohol overtone. In the mouth, it is malty and sweet, with fruit aromas there but not particuarly prevalent. Palate thin and unexciting. Fairly boring.

Cask at the Plough, Wolvercote, Oxon 25-04-06. Amber coloured, very small head which quickly disappeared quite sweet, little fruity and reasonably tasty. I had a couple of these and was pleasantly suprised as it was better than I expected and than I last remebered.

Casked. Copper/ruby coloured, small beige head. Aroma is sweet caramellish malts and fruits. Flavour is sugary and fruity. Very smooth palate and flavour. Some weak wooden hints also there. Fresh cask! I actually like the bottled version better than the cask.

Dark amber color, small off-white head. Sweet floral hoppy aroma. Quite bitter flowery hoppy flavor. Trefoil and some sweetness in the aftertaste. Tastier than a bottled version, lucky to have fresh cask.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2006 Good, a little bitter for my taste, the foam is great, creamy, I must say, and the taste is very bitter. I like it very much.

Cask conditioned @ Royal Oak, Winchester. I’m not sure what has happened to this (former?) Hogshead pub but it now only stocks Greene King products. As for the beer typical Greene King character. Husky malt and fruity caramel and a vague earthy hop finish. Drinkable enough but I find it hard getting past the initial husky barrier.
