3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 kidmartinek (2555) - austin, Texas, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Bottle at TJ’s Sports Bar & Grill in Ao Nang, Thailand. Pours a clear dense amber. Aroma of English malt, toffee and bitter hops. The aroma and flavor are both rich and complex and weigh in impressively for a 4.7 bitter, as is the case with most English bitters I’m learning compared to American beers. More flavor and character and less alcohol. I like that in a beer and this one excels.

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 DylansDad (202) - NEW ZEALAND - MAR 30, 2013
Has a (to me) very typical English macro ale smoothness, the sweet malts are so slick that it is hard for my interest to get a toe hold. This type of beer is so good at slickly sliding down your gullet unnoticed except for the initial sweetness and a final unflavoured bitterness. Drinkable, but not something I’ll think about tomorrow.
