Cask at Camden Head. Looks like a scotch ale. Taste like a really bad bitter. Nutty and obscenely offensive bitterness with a toffee astringent bitter finish. No good

Cask by gravity at Troon Beer Festival - clear amber brown, thin off-white head, roasted nutty malty aroma, no lacing, chocolate, fruity, malty flavour, initial sweetness developing into a bittersweet

Cask @ Tilleys, Newcastle. Deep copper color with a modest off-white head. The nose is red apple, caramel, biscuit, and general sweetness. Faint aromas. The taste is dominated by chewy malts. Plenty of caramel and shortbread. Light red fruits and apple. Light grassiness on the finish. Smooth body, very soft carbonation. Overall, pretty decent. A straightforward number.

3 mid brown, nice spongy persistent head.
6 rather dull english bitter. a touch earthy.
3 soft palate, carbonation low. simple dull bitter finish
12 no flaws at all. no excitement either.

Clear copper color, decent off-white head. Honeyish-nutty aroma. Light-bodied. Honey, nutty malty flavor. Some harsh bitterness in the short finish. A-OK but easy to forget beer.

tombyars (1358) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - FEB 29, 2012
First tasted this at the Glasgow Beer Festival in September 1996. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale garnet red in colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma of split pommegranate. Thin but refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts deliver a robust digestive biscuit base with tart redcurrant fruit and salt. Spicy hop resins give a dry bitter aromatic aftertaste. Finish is robust and malty with dry vinous cask notes. One of the better beers from the Rudgate portfolio. Well recommended.

Cask conditioned at Blind Jacks, Knaresborough, N.Yorks. Amber with white head. Fuller bodied, some caramel, toffee notes, reasonable bitterness despite being reasonably sweetish. There is a nutty flavour in the close. Decent enough.
