Bottle from Fyne Wines, Argyll. Golden with a slight white head, residual lacing & very light bubbles; Rich aromas of malted golden cereals, hay, salted caramel, peaches and brioche; Medium body with very light sherbet tingle; Hop bitterness immediately and thoroughly on palate, yellow grapefruit (not overpowering), hay, yellow apples; Lovely aroma, more challenging palate; very fresh, very drinkable; May have liked more hops on nose and more malt on palate.

Hand pulled at the Dog, Hagley Road, Birmingham. Hazy honey gold. Dry hay strewn finish. Shredded wheat salt. First half of swig is well balanced hope with a little lime and iced sweetness. Feels fresh and light. I’m tempted to say that this is excellent.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2011 Cask, Gravity at Banbury Beer Festival, Oxon, 08-05-09 Pours golden with a tiny film of white bubble masquerading as a head. Aroma is a touch sweet but some floral notes detected. Taste is light fruits, bit malty, I can’t say that this was particularly memorable. A6 A4 F6 P3 Ov12 3.1 Had this again at The Crown, Cornmarket, Oxford 11.02.11 Pours gold with with a slim white head, there is almost a saaz like lagery hoppiness to this. Aroma is of pencil and slightly dusty hop. Taste is fruity, its clean, crisp and served in very good nick, better second time around hence the re-rate. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Pale yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, grassy nose with biscuity malt and citrus. Malty, fruity taste with notes of apricots, citrus, biscuits and a dry, grassy bitterness in the finish. Light body. Not really exciting, but the grassy, dry bitterness makes it quite enjoyable.
