Three Judges. Aroma is biscuity caramalt, completly malty. Taste is similar, a good effort at a ruby mild indeed.

Cask, Peterborough Fest 06. Dark brown with a beige head. Aromas are earthy and sweet with brown sugar, molasses and caramel. Flavours are sweet and sugary with toasty malts. Some caramel with weetabix. Quite light but tasty.

Gravity, Peterborough Beer Festival 2006. Ruby with no head. Chocolate scent. Very hoppy, quite bitter. Hint of orange in the mouth. Very nice, but spoilt by a flat and watery mouthfeel.

Cask, Peterborough BF 06. Dark ruby, nearly no head. Bitter malt / hop combination. Sour cream. Carbonated mouthfeel, watery thin taste. Burnt malt, lasting dry bitterness. Hides quite a high strength for a mild well.

UPDATED: SEP 19, 2009 Cask conditioned at GBBF 06. Dark brown with ruby hue, light head. A good complex fruity malty mild, with a decent body if somewhat short on the finish. As with most beer at GBBF, not in great condition, but the quality can be detected in the dark fruitiness.
Re Rate at The Judges Lodgings, York Sept 09, York. Full, fruity and very tasty

VEry dark, with red spots, that is nice, the foam was good and the taste of malt as just the thing I like in these.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm) Colour is dark ruby, with foamy head. Nose is malty, fruity with wild berries (raspberries, blackberries, blueberries), dark fruit and nuts. Taste is somewhat roasted and fruity with blackberries, blueberries and a bitter finish, hints of port wine. Very balanced, very nice.

Now this is one of my fav milds. It is, however, a bit difficult to rate in the sence that there is nothing special to it. Just very well balanced tastes of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and a hint of hops and vineous sourness. This is a case of the sum is far more than its parts. A top notch session mild. If I were to rate this on a scale 1-5 overall impression only it would certainly become a 5.

Handpump, The Market Porter: Dark ruby as the name suggests. Really earthy, fruity aroma with some slight roasty notes and a touch of wineyness. Dark fruity flavours with a chalky roast mouthfeel. The fruits come out as port-like, and there are some quite prominant hop flavours as well. Pretty nice.
