Starts sweet with fruity flavours and aroma. Refreshing and pleasant to drink with reasonable strength. All in all will drink again.

Cask. Aroma soft fruit and malt. Color amber. Lace top. Malty toffee notes with a pleasant fruity languor. Better than expected (but then my expectations were low). A York beer. I wonder if its production will be flood affected?

Cask conditioned at The Tap & Spile, York. Gold with white head. Malty light ale with hints of bitterness and a light sharpness. Just a little dull unfortunately.

[York Beer Festival, 2014] - Rudgate Brewery Volsung, 5%, hellorange klar. Kaum Schaum. Mild-süßliches Aroma nach Mirabellen, etwas floral. Noch etwas wässrig, mittleres Mundgefühl. Floral im Antrunk, leichte Honignote, unbestimmte Orangenfrucht. Etwas seifig. Daumen runter.

On cask at Boot & Shoe, Barkston Ash. Pours amber with off white head. Quite a bitter ESB with a nice hop astringency. Shame it dies on it’s arse.

Full of flavour for an Amber beer, easy drinking for a session , but enough complexity to make it interesting.

Cask at the York tap. Pours clear amber, thin white head. Nutty, buttery aromas, light floral note. Taste is sweet, cloying. Ok.

Cask at the Tockwith Beer Festival. An amber ale with a white head. Starts quite sweet and fruity before a bitter citrus finish. Quite nice and refreshing.

JDW Waterhouse, Manchester 27 Jan 13. Gylden. Nesten ikke skum. Litt lacing. Forsiktig frukt / plommearoma. Velbalansert smak. Syrlig frukt. Avslutninga er svakt syrlig & bitter. Bra øl.
