One of the few gravicasks that were left from The Continentals 2nd Beer Festival. Thanks to CinnamonGirl for sharing. Very hazy golden with sediments floating around. Mild floral-fruity smell. Hop resin in flavour with a distracting touch of yeast. It actually taste rather unfinished (Preston, 03.05.2009).

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. A copper coloured beer with crunchy oaty notes in the nose. The taste has more crunchiness together with straw and decent bitterness. Good malts, a flavoursome bitter.

Cask@The wenlock Arms. Another balanced English bitter, with neither hops or malt dominating. Grainy, earthy malt, lightly citric hops. Sorry if iíve pretty much written the same thing for my past 4 ratrings, but they seriously all taste pretty much the same.

A Mes rate: Cask at the Wenlock. Badged as Purity as Ian pointed out. Same old same old really. Heavy bitterness at the finish. Slight dusty notes. Drinkable enough.

Cask at Merton Beer Festival July 7th, 8th 2006. Hadnít really expected much of this beer, but ended up being quite pleased with it. Poured a dark gold colour and one was immediately hit with just how bitter and dry it was, this lingered considerably and if have one critical note this really was itís one and only main thrust. Some hops detected on the nose but not a lot, a pleasant quaffing ale.

Cask conditioned at Merton Summer Beer Festival 06. Gold colour with faint head. Thinnish flavoured beer with a light caramel note throughout. Quite unusual in its mix of flavourings for this type of beer, there is a bitter dry finish with a hint of darker malts.
