Hand pulled at the brewery. Pale yellow with a tight shaving foam top. Faint lemon-flavoured boiled sweet aroma. Flinty northern biiterness tempered with lemongrass-like perfume; wafers and honey in the aftertaste. Almost utterly still. Dab of salty, mineral edge. Good, probably better with the sparkler loosened.

Cask handpull at The Hoodeners Horse, Ashford. Way too warm, decent nick though and decent hop too, citrus blondish beer, knock it down 10 degrees and it’d be good. Tastes of omlette otherwise. Not unpleasant omlette, and a peppery too. Would give it a higher score if served at right temperature

Cask conditioned handpump Gateway Leicester A straw coloured beer with a lasting white head. The aroma has hints of lemon which carries through into the mouth. The cittrus notes are light, but pleasant. Clean and approachable

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 7/10/08. Pale gold with a lacy, white head. Citrus, piney hops with some balancing malt and a long, fruity dry finish. Excellent.

Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Fest ’08. Pale gold with white head. Oh yes, this is a belter, bright, fresh and hoppy with lots of tangy, zesty lemony notes. Crisp, biscuity malt body carrying the lively hops. Very nice indeed.
