(bottle, as Lager Hell, courtesy of Allen) Slightly unclear, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head, quickly collapsing. Distinctively grainy malty aroma with a light dusty notes and traces of herbal hops in the backyard. Light-sweet flavour with a light level of acidity, watery body with a moderate carbonation. Slim pale malt-character with subtle sour doughy notes and a touch of grains; slim and short malty finish with a whiff of hops and subtle fruity notes. 07.IV.10

tasts malty, some hops
aftertaste ismalt and a hint of breadcrust
tasts a bit better than it smells but is still deadly booring

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottled 50cl. Another mediocre swiss lager. Slightly better than Schützengarten lager hell for example. Pale yellow with a small head. Citrusy sulphury nose. Malty with hints of kafir, hay and chestnuts. Low bitterness. Light bodied. Very drinkable. (one good characteristic). Hints of lemon in the finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
50cl bottle in a little cabin in the Alps above Wengen as "Lager Hell", 4.8% abv. Clear gold with lots of visible carbonation and a big, fluffy white head. Slightly sweet aroma with a little grass. Less bready than the zwickel, with a nice hop balance and some bitterness in the finish. Light body with lots of carbonation; a little less smooth and creamy than the zwickel as well. Flavors are light and boring overall, but I can taste that amazing Interlaken water underneath it all, and its very refreshing, even on a dark and snow covered winter night.
