This one is special. There will never be another one like it.

Bottled within is the first result of hundreds of hours of hard, backbreaking work by my family and friends, family members that consistently exceeded my expectations, friends, some new, some old, equally committed. Hand in hand together we tended to the little* hop yard that could. In a season when the dust mites were a persistent threat, decimating some other local hop yards, and an unusually dry winter made planting our rhizomes precarious, this farm and yard at exit 69 off I-80 proved what the Sacramento Valley is made of . . . showing why, when quality, not yield, was the measure of a successful hop yard, we were the largest hop growing region in the world!

From our hands into yours. Enjoy! Jan-Erik Paino, Founder

Bottle from Beers of Europe. NOT WORTH £11!!! Still good though! Pours Amber-brown and is reasonably hazy, decent 2 finger head. Aroma of light malts, orange, lemon...On the taste initial light malts, then some caramel, biscuit, grain, grass, orange, lemon...nice lightly bitter finish. Not Bad.

Hazy amber brown with a good head in a very fancy sack wrapped bottle. Smokey boiled sweet hop aroma. Sweet hoppy flavour. Very smooth. Good but not worth the £14.30 I paid at Valhalla’s Goat for it.

Bottle. Over-ripe orange malt and grassy lemon peel aroma. Golden yellow with minimal head. Funky orange malt and moderately bitter grass and lemon peel flavor. Unique.

Burlap-wrapped bottle: Clear, deep gold with a frothy white head. Sweet, earthy, grass and grapefruit aroma. Taste is slightly vegetal, malty, piney hops... Might be a case of the power of suggestion, but I get the mushroom flavor as noted by brokensail as well. Different, but quite pleasant.

It poured a straw color with a small white head. The aroma was of pine and some earthy notes with a little hot sauce. The taste was of grapefruit and pine bitterness. A different but good wet hop ale.

On tap @ Provisions Market. Golden pour with a white head. Really earthy hops. Lots of grass, dirt, and mushroom. A bit of funk, too. Meh. Bready malt and pine. Flavor is bitter and earthy. Lots of dirt and mushroom. Bread, pine, grass, and a mild malt sweetness. Not a fan.

A hop laden aroma with a hint of Brie cheese. The flavor is a sharp start and and smooth wet finish. A hint of grapes and honey in there ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours brilliant gold with a slight, transient white head. Aroma is a very different green leafy perhaps earthy hop. Med body or better. Flavor is very green herb/veg. Finish is that plus earth. Very different.

Bottle from Capitol Beer. Pours dark gold with a transient off-white head and a rather strange earthy hop aroma. There is a medium-bodied caramel malt flavor with a moderately bitter hop finish.

Pours golden with thin lace of a head. Aroma of dank hops that are clearly fresh. Forward taste of of fresh dank hop that doesn't linger. Well balanced with malt. Not a huge fan of fresh hop beers but this is good for the style ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
