COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Donkerblond bier met een stevige smaak. Fris en goed door te drinken. Extra smaakvol door het gebruik van veel hop gedurende het hele brouwproces. Smaken van citrus en tropisch fruit. Ruig!

Bottle. Golden color, hazy. Peach, grass and citrus, in the slightly herbal aroma and flavor. A firm hopbitterness, satisfyingly balanced. A very good beer!

I had this one from the bottle a while ago, now on tap! It was very very cloudy. Fruity, lobed and silty. Nice sweetness and also bitter.

On tap @ Rooie Dop Brewdungeon. The aroma has citric/tropical hops, some toffee/honey malt tones. Cloudy, golden-orange coloured with a medium, white head. The taste is moderate bitter, has tropical fruits, citrus, orange, lychees. Good dry finish and mouthfeel. Good bitter finish.

On draft at Burg Bier Festival 2014. Golden/amber colored, medium head. Nice hoppy nose, lots of fruity notes. Same elements in flavor, with some additional malty notes. Nice IPA.

Aroma of lots of fruits, citrus, hops. Flavour is fruity and hoppy, with a welcome bitterness in the aftertaste. Not your regular IPA, more like a Belgian IPA or a bitter Saison even.

Bottle. Cloudy amber orange with medium white head. Citrus and red fruits. Hops obviously. Perfect amount of bitterness. My kind of beer

Tap at 4th Utrecht Brewers Festival. Dark orange colour on the body, quite clear, with a small thin head, white in colour, with average retention, leaving light lacing behind. Aroma is fruity, with citrus, light orange peel, smells quite hoppy. Taste also with citrus, orange peel, mandarines, some grains as well, nice bitterness during the whole drinking experience. Medium body with good carbonation, quite dry palate. Overall a nice beer, honest, very drinkable.

Sample from tap @ UBF ’14. Cloudy, golden to amber color. Dense off white head. Aroma’s: very fruity, herbal, lychee. Retronasal there’s citrus, tropical fruit, light hop bitterness. Flavor is moderate bitter, herbal hops. Medium bodied. Firm bitter finish. Flavorful and refreshing.

Draught @ UBF 2014. Opaque murky orange color, medium to full sized off-white head. Aroma is lightly malts, full of hops and nicely fruity. Tastes about the same: a good malt profile with good hoppiness on top. Nice bitterness that blends well with the hops. Good balance, medium body and carbonation. Quite impressive for a new brewery, they just have to work at the appearance.

33cl bottle @ home from Bert’s Bierhuis. Hazy orange copper color, medium creamy white head, tons of yeast on the bottom. Aroma caramel, citrus, floral, fruity, green tea, orange peel, grapefruit, herbs, belgian yeast, intensive hoppy feel, quite complex. Taste light sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Full body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, quite long lasting bitter-sweet finish. Delicious refreshing dessert beer, easy to drink but at the end the yeast and hops comes more to the foreground which makes it even better but a heavier beer. Great one, keep going RUIG Bier!
