3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The gf and I are big fans of the style, but this one was lacking. Semi-cloudy brownish pour with little head. Faint malt nose, and taste. Some sort of metallic bitterness that didn’t seem quite right. Finish was fairly smooth.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Reviewed from notes. Consumed 1/22/13.
From the cask into a 20 oz pint at Run of the Mill.
The appearance is a clear light copper colored body with a half finger white foamy head that lasted about twenty seconds before dieing into the body.
The smell has muted malts up front with some light dry hops in the background.
The taste is bitter but balanced as the muted malts combined decently with the hops.
The palate is light, sessionable, dry in the aftertaste and the finish.
Overall, this is just as an English Bitter should be: bitter and dry all around. I liked it, glad I got it on cask!
