We amp up the alcohol and hops in this West Coast version of an IPA. One of our few brews we only hop with one variety, in this case Cascades. This Washington state hop imparts wonderful floral aroma made even more pronounced by dry hopping.

Blah. Kind of an English pale, sweet malty aroma with little hops to speak of. Same for the flavor. Not too good.

On tap at the Run of the Mill brewpub with my wife on our last night in Maine. Pours a hazed amber with a thin to medium sized white head. Soft malt, light hops, faintly odd aromas. Nice citrus notes, crisp malt. Medium bodied, soft malt, and toast. Light malt, crisp and malty. Gentle bitterness into the finish with some light sweetness.

Draught at GLB. This is from old notes but I thought this was a decent pale but nothing special.

En fût. Pinte dégustée chez Great Lost Bear (Portland, ME). (Rating #2715)

@Great Lost Bear Portland-on tap-pours a light tan head and copper color. Aroma is citrus/pine hops, secondary medium malt-caramel. Taste is pine/metallic/tannins-hops, with some medium malt. Harsh.
