Sweet caramel aroma, and peach - juicy. Very much like bruuveri’s house nose. Rich sweet caramelly taste, almost treacly. Some sugar puffs. Tinned fruit aromatic hops too. A touch sweet and mashy palate, crisp carbonation. Retronasals quite grainy, but can’t beat the sugars into submission. Wooly, after drinking the Rousal Pils, but otherwise I don’t get any flaws. Anna does, but can’t identify them. This is why I don’t like APA - too caramel dominated, no depth, no crispness, just stodge.

Draught at the Viisi Penniä, Helsinki, Finland. Cloudy amber colour with an average sized fluffy white head. Herbal hops in the aroma. Some Pepsodent, grass and caramel malt in the aroma. The flavour is herbal hops, mild bitterness and caramel malt. Still rather dry for an APA. Not bad. But the contrast to the Malmgård Proto APA I just had is quite evident. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught @ Villi Wäinö. Hazy amber, thin white head. Vanilla, herbal, fruity notes in aroma. flavor has orange, herbs, tea, sweet berries. Slightly sweet finish. Not very enjoyable, weird brew

Aroma is surprisingly sweet with vanilla, berries, some resiny notes and caramel. Flavour has berries, some vanilla, caramel and hops. Hoppy finish with some gooseberry bush notes. Leathery palate. Way too much berries here.

Tap @ Pub Winston, Pori 14/03/13. Pours a hale orange with a small, off-white head. Aroma is grapefruit, its peel, some nettles. A light plastic tone can be detected as well. Taste is a lot of nettles, pine in the beginning, but turns juniper as it progresses. Also caramel grows stronger and combines with the juniper to form a pithy union that’s a bit stingy with its dryness. Palate is refreshing, stingy, a bit light.

Draught. Light orange. Nose is quite hoppy; citrus, oranges, a touch of pine. Body is us ale-ish. Caramel, hoppyness. Pretty nice us pale ale. Ot much to complain about.

Draught @ Black Door, Helsinki

Pours yellowish orange with a large foamy white head. Aroma of fruity hops, hints of grass, malts and yeasty notes. Taste is fruity and hoppy with notes of floral hops, lemon, caramely malts and pine. Finish is sweetish and smooth with a lot of fruitness and hints of bitter hops. Nice, quite fruity and sweetish APA.

Draught. Pours slightly hazy golden in color with a small white head, leaving a nice lacing on the glass. Citrus, mild yeasty notes and some tropical fruityness in aroma. Citrus mostly in taste with some light grassy hoppyness as well. Fruity and slightly malty and bitter in finish. Liked this one, crisp and refreshing brew.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20130217) The beer poured golden and a bit hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, pine and malts. Palate was medium bodied with quite high carbonation. Flavours were pine, grass, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A clean and straightforward APA. Well done.

Hazy honey with mimimal head leaving little lacing. Low aroma has little of anything. Low to medium body, thin Feel, low carbonation, bit berries, little fruits, short finish fruity and bit bitter. Ok but not more.
