Handbottled & corked
This is the first commercial product of this new local brewery. Deep hazy amber color, small steady off-white head. Nose has quite strong "fermenting gases" (yeasty raisins, a bit of barnyard) then also caramel malts and light hops. Medium-bodied. Front has caramel and nutty maltyness. Some alcohol and bready malty flavor. A bit of fruity raisiny notes too. Hops come in the aftertaste. Suprisingly although American hops have been used here, very British, ESB like. Raisiny notes give a bit unfermented feeling. Solid debut, waiting for tap release.

Aroma? What aroma? You can just about tell there’s a beer in the glass. Simple keggy palate, crisp carbonation. Right at the front theere’s a wooly and almost smoky flavour. Big bold bitter body, a bit resiny, quite earthy, but a little messy, some swimming pool or minerals. This beer makes me appreciate the Malmgard Rusko I had earliermore. Both keg, but, despitr this one packing a whole bunch of flavours, this lacks any sophistication. I can imagine a smoker liking thiis, as it can cut through their noise floor. Grungy.

Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Finland. Cloudy amber colour with tiny off-white head. Sweetish fruity and floral hops and some caramel malt in aroma. Flavour quite mild with floral hops, caramel sweetness and malt. Hints of bitterness lurking somewhere in the back. Drinkable. Quite mild flavour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught @ Pub Winston, Pori
My glass was compiled from three pours - the tap was very foamy and unstable. Aroma has grapefruit, some citrus and honey. Flavour has grapefruit, peaches, hints of hay and honey. Somewhat tart finish with grapefruit. Some stickyness and vegetable notes at the middle of the glass. Also some hops that linger in the back of my mouth. Refreshing and nice.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2013 (Re-rate, new batch, draught at Pikkulintu, 20130403) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized, dense, long lasting and white. Aroma had mixed exotic fruits, malts and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, sweet and bitter. Way better than the batch I tried the previous time. Nice APA.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20120709) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. The beer was quite musty and also unclean. Still a quite good one for the first released beer. Rating: 6-2-6-3-12=2.9

Draught @ Black Door, Helsinki

Pours clear amber orange with a small head. Aroma of grassy hops and caramel malts. Taste is slightly malty and bitter with some floral and grassy hops and hints of caramel. Finish is bitter and malty with hints of nuts and metallic raisin notes. Okay, quite basic pale ale.

On tap at One Pint Pub. Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Is this an IPA or APA?? Anyways, smooth with mellow piny hop notes. Good balance. A little on the non-descript / bland side.

Draught@Viisi Penniä. Cloudy golden color, off-white head. Hoppy aroma with leather. Bitter, resiny flavor with a dry finish. Medium-full body, medium carbonation. Nice.

Smell of hops. Cloudy amber colour, creamy white head. Very bitter, medium sour, aroma of hops, orange peel, citrus, a faint of tobacco. Lively carbon. Aftertaste of berries, citrus and other fruit.

Draught at Viisi Penniä, Helsinki. ("batch #5"). Colour is hazy orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours are fruits, bitterness and hops. Quite dry but nicely fresh.
