Draught. Reddish brown coloured. Surprisingly hoppy aroma. Very well balanced malty flavour with lots of hops. Hop bitter finish. A wonderful Dunkel.

A really nice dunkel. Quite malty and roasted. Hoppy and fruity. Very full-bodied.

Clear dark brown color, fluffy lasting tan head. Sweet, malty, roasted scent. Sweet, malty, herbal taste. Sweet finish. Smooth mouthfeel, medium herbal bitterness.

Eigener Antrunk, dominiert von einem dumpfen Hopfenton. Im Mittelteil grasiger, der Hopfen wird aromatischer und bleibt dies auch. Vollmundig aber eher unsüffig scheint das Bier hier zu sein, hintergründig mit einer Vielzahl von Aromen. Auch das Malz befindet sich hier noch im Hintergrund und kommt erst im Abgang zur Geltung. Immerhin setzt es hier direkt intensiv ein, hat aber gegen die Hopfigkeit keine Chance und muss sich mit Platz 2 zufireden geben. Untypisches und voluminös hopfiges Dunkel. Clear dark amber with a large beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel, grassy hops and hints of bread. Fairly dry flavour with caramel, grassy hops and roasted malt. Finished dry and bitter.

Draught. Malty, hoppy aroma. Dark chestnut colour. Plenty, stable, creamy head. Aromatic, hoppy flavour with buttery aftertaste.

Tap at the bräuhaus. Brown colour with a big off-white head. Light sweet roasted malty aroma and a sweet fruity malty light bitter hoppy taste. Medium to full body and a sweet bitter finish.

A bit disappointing, a small brewery in the heart of Germany, with excellent German kitchen, I must say that I have been served better beers in an ordinary German bar.This was just average.

Draught at the brewpub. The color is beautiful, clear red-brown with a nice head. The aroma has notes of butterscotch and caramel. The flavour has a light sweetness and lots of nice butterscotch, light syrup and dry citrus. It is smooth and pleasant and yet refreshing with a citrus-bite in the finish.

Light roasted aroma. Light brown color, white head, good lace. Little flavor off nuts, light wood, light bitter, light sweet. Long lasting hopbitter finish. Not a bad example of the Dunkel but the flavors should have been stronger.
