3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle. Golden yellow, large head. Malty start, getting more and more hoppy towards the finish. Rather hoppy for an Export-style lager, but really pleasant.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(bottle, with thanks to quack-duck) Minimal-hazy, pale golden colour with a foamy white medium-sized head. Moderately sweet, slightly dusty and buttery malt aroma with shy hoppy notes. Medium-sweet flavour, almost medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Malt-accented, slightly grainy and buttery taste with a late arriving, restrained hoppiness; malty, slightly bitter and somewhat sticky finish. Rather mediocre and still drinkable but I would prefer the Pils in this case..

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JAN 30, 2009 courtesy of Laurent Mousson - clear golden colour, little elusive foam, some aromatic hops (Tettang?); honeyish maltiness; subtle and solid carbonation, quite dry, herbal and aromatic finish - balanced and well-made

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden colour, good lastin head, very clean appereance. The aroma is malty. A good malty sweetness dominates the flavour. The aftertaste is weak, just a bit spicy without the necessary bitterness. A very refreshing beer, but not as good as the other Ruppaner beers.
