Thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass deep golden, zippy, nice head. Starts fine mild-malty, modest sourish, not too dry. More and more grasy-malty, still spicy. Well balanced finish. Not bad!

Leicht getreidiger Malzantrunk. Geringe, zum milden Bier passende Würzigkeit. Hefig, trocken röstig. Mildes unspektakukäres Dunkel. 11/8/9/8/9/9

Pours a clear amber color with a moderate head on it. Slightly sweet nose to it. Taste is also sweet, but not overwhelmingly so.

Bottle (kindly delivered by Quack-Duck!): Deep golden, clear, creamy stable off-white head; light to moderate malty-toasty nose with a good dash of aromatic hops plus a metallic tinge in the backgriund; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, relatively light-bodied for abeer of 5.2%, creamy MF; slightly lingering sweet-caramelly finish, balanced by a distinctive bitterness. Quite good....

Bottle 33cl from Quack-duck thanks ! A clear amber beer with huge head. Nose is on caramel malt and vegetable like. Aroma is sweet, caramel like, some typical DMS, nice bitterness, spicy hops, long bitter aftertaste. A pleasant beer with good body, slightly floral hops, refreshing, reminds me French Bière de Mars style, palate is unctuous.

330ml bottle (Trade from Quack-Duck)
5 Aroma mid-way between a simple lager and a heller bock. Not selling itself particularly well.
3 Rich orange, head settles to a ring and scum.
5+ Fairly bland lagery taste. I think if this is a winter special beer, it’s just the special winter chugging beer for the locals to replace a light coloured chugging beer. Gently bready, some residual caramelly sugar.
3 Sweet watery palate, crisp carbonation. Finish rather bland, a sweetish mushroominess, later some biting noble hops, but with no depth.
10 This lager is never going to win over an ale lover. I don’t think I can actually flaw it (I can forgive mushrooms). It’s just not pressing my English buttons.

Bottled 33cl. Courtesy of Quack-Duck. It pours a golden beer with a nicely remaining tall off white head. Biscuity malty nose, moderately hoppy with DMS hay and caramel playing the most important role. Slightly metallic. Delicate carbonation. Medium bodied. Dried apples and a huge amount of marzipan showing up in the taste. Residual sugars in the finish which is reminiscent of dried apricots, fresh cut grass and marzipan. A bit dissapointing. Thanks a lot Quack-Duck!
