on tap in Konstanz and bottled. This is one of my favourite local beers. Golden yellow, slightly cloudy, large and creamy white head, which is very persistent. Very aromatic hops are used here. The beer is really hoppy, only slightly malty, so full of lovelly hop flavours. Slight hints of yeast.

Bottle. Hay/barnyard malt aroma. Hazy pale yellow color with moderate head. Sweet barley malt and moderately bitter flower/hay hops flavor. Nicely blended. Very nice.

Very hoppy, but hazy, full of real doughiness in the aroma! Highly bitter beer, with a fresh bread flavor too. The color and look in the glass is really nice, very distributed particulate. Live beer here. In the end of the flavor there is a sweet fruitiness. The head really dies down quickly, yet still it is very drinkable. Very fresh (Apr 07, 2011). Session beer. Great first beer to pick from the trove sent by Stephan.

Bottle 33cl from Quack-Duck. A clear yellow beer with low head. Smell is malty and hopy. A nice pilsener, very malty with a nice hopy bouquet, quite round and nice biterness especially at the finish. Surely one of the best pilsener ever ! Interesting hopy character, with resine and small lemony notes. Thanks Stephan.

Im Geruch herb mit würziger Note. Feinherber Beginn.

Bottle looks nice. Beer in the glass not very turbid, nice head. Starts dry, modest malty-yeasty, bitter background. Gets drier and drier. Not too drinkable but still a great beer!

Bottle from Quack-Duck, vielen Dank! Light golden, only slightly hazy, with a fluffy head of medium durability. Nice grassy German hop aroma over a layer of malt. Some yeasty notes, some honey and apples, also some soapiness that manages to be inoffensive. Tastewise it is basically a hoppy, grassy German pils with some notes of yeast and honey and a solid bitterness. It is softer than its filtered version, a bit more chewy. It’s a good and solid German pils although I liked the straight-forward attitude of the filtered version a little bit more.
