3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Koz (3) - - JUN 6, 2013 does not count
Not what I would expect in a DIPA but its kind of different. More straight up IPA flavor - not hops forward as you would expect.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 ccex (826) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 24, 2013
12 oz. bottle pours a hazy orange color with film white head and hardly any lacing. Aroma has pine, honey, caramel, orange marmalade, and grapefruit. Taste is sweet with a bitter finish that wasn’t as big as I expect from an IIPA. Body is medium with average carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky. This one is not bad and has no major problems, , but with so many great IIPAs out there, I probably won’t try this one again.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ericular (256) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Aroma is earthy, grassy hops. Taste stays earthy hops, but with a lot more honey sweetness. Not terrible, but it threw the balance off a little for me. Just average in terms of DIPAs.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 madvike (2128) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 21, 2013
Bottle - Hazy light amber pour with lots of sediment and a filmy whit head. Nose is orange jelly, acetone, piney hops, and some sweetness, presumably from the honey. Taste is strangely subdued, especially for 9%. It’s sweet, but not overbearingly so. Moderate hopping---mostly some grassy and herbal notes. Some bread and orange jam, and a mildly bitter, grassy finish. Pretty gentle in the mouth, with soft, fine bubbles. Too sweet and malty for my tastes, but I can see where others will like the balance on this one.

9th October 2011 Hazy gold beer with a good off white head. Light semi dry palate. Starts slightly dweet - pine and a little peach. Bitterness kicks in with tangerine pith and grapefruit. Touch of mango before the finish. Medium bitter aftertaste. Pretty good stuff - well joined up complex IPA.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 trail_and_ale (31) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - JAN 16, 2013
There are so many delightful imperial IPAs available today, but this isn’t one of them. I’ll give it props for a nice amber appearance and uniform thin head, but it lacks the aggressive aroma and hop flavor I’ve been experiencing lately (Surly Abrasive). These guys have some work to do.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Nsanders (257) - St Paul, Minnesota, USA - DEC 27, 2012
Hazy yellow with floating particles, and a thin head that trails down the glass. Sweet smelling, pineapple and honey aromas. Flavor was very sweet, hardly bitter for an ipa. Lighter body. Easy drinking, wouldn’t know it was an imperial ipa if not for the label.
