COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Proud to announce the recent brewing of our Summer Seaonal, the Double Bubble Imperial India Pale Ale. We loaded our mashtun with as much grain as possible and then added copious amounts of honey along with twice the hops. It smells and samples like heaven.

This pours a cloudy yellow amber color with a slight head and lots of floaters in it. The aroma is fairly bitter with floral hints. The taste is bold with hops and bitterness. It leaves a linger bitterness on the tongue. Not bad tasting but the appearance could be better or filtered since a lot of people might think this is a beer that has gone bad.

Bottle from discount rack at Woodmans in the Falls. No bottle date, shrug? Pours orangey copper with floaties. Bad sign. Aroma has citrus and pine and some garlic with earthiness. Taste is quite citrusy, mostly grapefruit, with pine and some caramel, and definite earthiness. Down in the glass, more bitter and gets more garlicky. Medium bodied with some alcohol. Finishes bitter and tangy. Sigh. One has hopes for these smaller state breweries. 12.9

Bottle. Deep orange tinted and light copper brew. A wispy thin white head. Notes of caramel and peanuts are up front in the nose. There is a bit of citrus, but it is muted. Tastes of orange zest mix with some bread crust. There is also some peanut shells and ashtray in the finish. A decent IIPA, but a bit muddled without any bright hops character. Middle of the road for a double IPA.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with lots of floaters. Thin white head. Nose is lemon and caramel. Taste is sweet citrus and caramel. Maybe pine bitterness in the aftertaste. Good.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a hazy gold with white head. Aroma of citrus, lemon and caramel. Taste is moderate to heavily bitter with mild sweetness. Would like a little better balance. Flavors of caramel, toffee, citrus fruit, grass. Overall an average imperial IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a 22oz bomber into a duvel glass. Aroma - nice unique aroma. Almost like a jolly rancher. Appearance - hazy golden pour, nice. Taste - Heavy body, which makes sense for a 9%. Palate - think coating of the tongue Overall - I think this beer fresh is good. I wouldn’t let this beer sit long - even though 9%, I also think it wouldn’t do good at room temperature either.

On tap at New Bohemia. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has earthy citrus with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces nicely. Flavor is full of citrus with a bit of earthy grass and a sweet grain backbone.

Fair head of foam with a pleasing aroma. IBUs are firm and zesty. Very good color and appearance. Very pleasing Imperial IPA.

Bottle poured a hazy gold with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of bread, citrus and yeast. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, lemon zest, light yeast and light earthiness with a crisp dry moderately bitter finish.

This one tasted too much like mashed mangos with alcohol. I’ve had much better tasting and drinkable double IPAs. Price is good though for a double.
