This is our own version of the classic hefeweizen style with a Midwest twist. Brewed with white wheat from Wisconsin, this blonde ale is lively and fresh. We engineered this wheat ale to appeal to those favoring a lighter beer. Our wheat ale is purposefully cloudy in the glass and mild on the palate.

This is a blonde ale, not a hefe. Pours a very cloudy light orange, like pineapple juice. Aromas of citrus and grain. Medium body. Primary flavors of bitter grain, wheat and tart citrus. No sweet hefe notes. Very refreshing and more bitter than average for a golden ale. Good summer beer. This is the obligatory lighter offering from a good brewery that has more interesting options.

Bottle. Pour is cloudy gold, lots of wheat. Hops were almost non-existent, just a lot of wheat for me, too much.

Yellow with a big head. Grassy aroma, not your usual hops. Clean, flat, fluffy and thin. Not a great beer in its own right, and not a great example of a hefeweizen. (bottle, 2013 Ale Jail festival, St. Paul, MN)

Tasted at Autumn Brew Review, Minneapolis. Was so sick of beers that taste like they were made with hop syrup that this less strong ale was a joy. Cloudy, foam sat on top like a biscuit, bready hefe taste without much fruit or odor, just a good beer.

Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Kudos for using local wheat, but overall a pretty uninteresting beer. Slightly grainy, no hefe character, no hop character. Mild and cereal like. Hmm.

12oz bottle pours a slightly hazy golden/yellow with a medium white head. Mellow caramel aroma with some corn, grain, and grassy hops. Upfront malt and grains in the taste with some lingering bitter hops on the finish. Simple, clean, refreshing, not much a hefe though.

As my friend said, "Beautiful color, didn’t like the taste." It’s ok. Very corn heavy flavor. I am maybe mistaken that heffeweizens are sweet, and that would have been nice to taste. Generally unremarkable, but I might buy this again in the summer when I’m in the mood for fresh post-mowing the lawn beer.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2013 Pours cloudy light golden yellow with good head but not much lacing. Aroma is corn and grain, with not much else to balance - maybe a little bit of citrus. Taste is really mild, pretty bland. More grain dominating the taste. Not offensive, just mild and forgettable. This would be a good beer for someone transitioning from Miller Lite to the world of craft brewing. Nothing too bold or surprising. A stronger taste than expected - not much carbonation, but a small kick of flavor and spiciness on the way down. Pretty sweet up front with some citrus and corn, refreshing hop level afterwards. Walks the line of entertaining an adventurous light beer drinker, and keeping a beer fan satisfied. 5+3+6+3+12 = 2.9

Had this beer at the 4th Annual Casanova Beer Cave Festival. Light scent, sweet and light cherry flavor.

A fairly straight forward Hefe. Little aroma of note. A nice cloudy golden appearance. Light crisp, citrus taste. The wheat is not overbearing. Clean finish. Head dissipates in minutes.
