COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our own version of the classic hefeweizen style with a Midwest twist. Brewed with white wheat from Wisconsin, this blonde ale is lively and fresh. We engineered this wheat ale to appeal to those favoring a lighter beer. Our wheat ale is purposefully cloudy in the glass and mild on the palate.

12oz bottle. Poured a murky golden color with a small sized white head. Lots of large and ugly floaters that thankfully quickly settled to the bottom of the glasss. Aromas of yeast, wheat, and light bananas. Tastes of bananas, wheat, with very light spices.

Bottled in June, week 3. Poured slightly hazy medium orange with a dusting of white head. The aroma picked up quasi-sweet banana and bubblegum esters upfront with a pale malt backing.. spices were light and peppery, and smelled refreshing. The flavor was sweeter than I like in my hefes, but still alright.. bubblegum and bready notes at the core laced with lemon zest and spicy pepper.. finished spicier. Lighter-bodied and crisp on the palate, just a tad too sweet.

Pours slightly cloudy yellow, white head. Aroma has notes of banana, clove, touch of fruit. Taste is very light, some sweet fruit and banana, slight yeast, finishing sweet and light in flavor. Overall, not good and weak.

TAP: cloudy gold hefe, wheat on the nose. Just some hop/edge on taste, this is missing most of the good hefe character. Not great.

On draught at the Happy Gnome in St Paul, MN. Pours a semi-clear golden pale brew with a thin white head that has a good retention and lacing. Aroma of light multi-grain malt, some tropical fruits, subdued yeast and sweet citrus zest. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated, with a bready malt and a touch of fruit flavors. Finish is semi-sweet with a bready aftertaste and very little bitterness.

Cloudy light golden color with a moderate yellow cream colored head. Quite active effervescence (3+). Light dry wheat and some citric zest in the scent. Quite generic and uneventful. Mild sweet wheat start that is quickly turned away by a sharp citric and bitter turn. Grapefruit and bitter citric peels amass in the middle and finish. Some hints of banana and a touch of white pepper in the linger. A faint hint of earth and smoke in the linger as well. low yeast profile. Interesting wheat ale.

Autumn Brew Review 2004. Nice hazy, golden color with a bit o’ head. Aroma of light malts. Very light wheat presence in the taste, but it is noticeable. Perhaps a little malt as well. I honestly thought this was a pilsner or some other very light beer at the festival, not a hefe. It’s tasty, but nothing outstanding.

Cloudy orange with a thin off-white head. Aroma of corn, grain, yeast, wheat and fruit. Taste of wheat, sweet malt, corn, banana and lemon. Lively carb feel that has a dry corny finish. Not really a standard hefeweizen, more of a golden ale.

Aroma is wheat, light fruit/lemons and beery. The flavor is wheat, fruit/lemons, mild sweetness and a mix of beery and slightly tangy in the finish.
