Our flagship beer is 5.5% alc. Deep amber in color, and slightly cloudy, this beer is remarkably smooth. We "dry-hop" this ale in the conditioning tank meaning fresh hops are added after fermentation to steep and add a subtle fruity nose. The yeast for this beer was custom created and cultured for us by a lab in Oregon, insuring a one-of-a-kind experience found in no other micro.

Geez, I like this beer a lot! Hard to fault it. Poured with a huge foamy frothy pale tan to off white head and plenty o lace. Big hoppy nose. Hazy amber with orange tones looked so appealing in the glass. Mouth filling and pleasing. A little soft. Nice play between the hops and some residual sweetness. Good finish. Great session beer. Having a mug of this at Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, Wis. USA

Typical copper body accompanied by an average off white head. Aromas of tree bark, nuts, toffee, and some citrus hops. Pretty well crafted amber ale here. Definite malt noticed more in the flavor than in the nose. Some nutmeg/cinnamon going on here, as well as banana & mango fruitiness. Almost like a christmas or spiced ale of some sort. Another good offering from Rush River. Most raters either complain or say amber ales are pretty boring. I disagree. I generally like the style and as a bonus this is a unique brew that goes above and beyond.

Courtesy of Juart. Hazy amber color with a small fizzy head gone after a few seconds. The aroma is bananas and apples with some nutmeg and other spices. The flavor is caramel and smoky nutty flavor. Some toffee in there as well. The mouthfeel is pretty rich. There isnít much carbonation. This is one of the better non-overhopped ambers that I have had.

Appearance is orange colored, lots of carbonation. Being labeled as an amber beer, this is surprisingly flavorful. Good flavorful hop presence, a bit of yeast and fruitiness. Pleasant surprise.

Pours a clear copper, red amber with light white head. Aroma is definitely sweetened hops with undertones of floral. Flavor is hops and caramel. Body is medium light with high levels of carbonation. An interesting amber.

Pours a hazy amber with a larger head than I expected, looks nice. Aroma of caramel and fruit. Flavor is decent, not as good as the aroma suggests. Thin palate.

Bottle pours a slightly hazed amber with a small white head that leaves some lace. The aroma is of hops and amber sweetness - smells great. The flavor is sweet, yeasty, fruity, peaches, malty, white pepper, caramel, and sugar cookies. The flavor has it all - much more interesting than most Amber Ales. The palate rocks as it is rich and cleansing. This is a real good Amber! Iíll get this again.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of thebeardedbrewer shared withNaka. Pours amber with mild red hues. Small, filmy white head. Nose is floral and citrus hops with sweet caramel. Taste is caramel and chocolate with some mild nutty notes. Solid hopping. Not too bitter, but just enough. Decent, earthy hop flavor. Very good amber. Solid caramel and hop balance.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2008 On tap. A nice cloudy amber with a thin head in the glass. Lots of sweet malts in the nose, with some decent hope character coming through as well. Smells better than most pale ales. The flavor is a bit more hardy than most pale ales Iíve tried - some hints of dark fruit come through - although the flavor is mostly sweet, almost chewy malts with some mildly bitter fruity hops. Definitely some caramel in there too. The mouth feel is thick and smooth for the style. Definitely a plus. Upon a second tasting, this beer is far better that I thought - really delicious.

Nice little session brew here... Murky amber brew with a small head. Looks like a barleywine. Aroma of sweet malts and a little hops. Interesting.. Great taste and mouthfeel of sweet malts, caramel, something fruity, and a little hops.. Nice brew..
