COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beanhead takes the base beer of a robust porter and pairs is with a fantastic coffee flavor that comes from a Guatemalan bean roasted by Java Love Coffee Roasting Co. in Kauneonga Lake, NY. Beanhead is completely black in color with an impressive tan head. It has a taste of intense coffee with overtones of bittersweet cocoa and caramel malt balanced with a slight earthy bitterness. While it may look filling, Beanhead is actually medium bodied and lacks the cloying sweetness that makes so many other stouts and porters seem so “heavy.”

Tap @ Roscoe (I think this is the right one, they called it "Java Head Porter"). Dark with creamy tan head. Roasty coffee plus sweet with a hig of dark fruit. Light & dry.

Dark brown color with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, and cocoa. Taste of roast, coffee, cocoa, and a bit of caramel. On the thinner side.

On nitro at Barcade Brooklyn. Looked good. Mild coffee aroma. Like coffee grounds whipped up. A bit astringent.

Draft at Fool’s Gold, 12/5/15. Dark brown-black color with a sheeting tan head and coating lace. Great looking beer. Coffee comes through bickering with a slight tartness. Lighter bodied. Smooth and very creamy. Great look and feel, but slightly disappointed by the flavor.

Nitro at the bier Abbey. Pours black and thin with a small head, aroma is faint. Taste is not too roasty, mellow. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at RnH, NYC. Dark brown color, small beige head. Strong coffeish, chocolaty aroma. Delicious! Light to medium-bodied. Flavor then is cld coffee and sweet aroma with light coffee tartness. Nose is great!

Pours dark but not super black unclear, light roasted coffee with a grayish beige head. Aroma big zesty roasted coffee, like a French press in your face, so nice. The flavor is huge coffee notes, not super thick at all but just right for a porter.

Aroma is very coffee. Very. Like a cup of coffee. Taste has lots of malt to balance the coffee. Smooth. Dark, full flavored, smooth coffee Porter. Not smokey, slight lactose sweetness of a milk stout even. Real nice beer.... If you like coffee. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

8oz pour at Torst. Pours a watery, deep brown with some ringing off white head. Nose has a lot of fresh, fragrant coffee, nutty too, soke brown sugar, hints of dried berries, toast. Flavor has a nice blend of sweet malts, brown sugar, hints of toffee, then high quality coffee. Not too dark. Dry finish.

Jimmy’s No. 43, NYC tap: Pours dark brown with a very cream, almost nitro looking, head. Aroma is coffee and chocolate, both of the smoothest kind (not that rough bitter stuff here). Taste is smooth medium roast coffee coupled with milky chocolate. That said, the body is pretty light, and this makes for easy drinking.
