650ml bottle pours a dark brown color with some red hues. There is a small light beige head that settles down to almost nothing. Aroma is light roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. Taste is light roasty bitterness and some malty sweetness with very little hops. The body is a little thin for a porter and carbonation is light. This is a slightly below average brew for the style.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 gramity (520) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 3, 2011
Beer pours a cola brown with little head that leaves only a thin cream coloured head at the top of the glass. Aroma is malty, thin with a small note of spice. Taste is roasted malt with a small hint of smokiness and tobacco. Almost no hop notes to be discerned. Finish dies quickly with a slightly resinous aftertaste. This one caught my in a porter mood.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Hophead22 (2172) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - MAY 1, 2011
22oz bottle from lushawn, thanks man. Rating #18. Not black like a lot of porters, it was dark brownwith a light beige head. Real light chocolate aroma and just the faintest bit of roast. Flavor is a bit thin and watery, some light chocolate, but not a lot else going on. (1703)
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 zeek (129) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 25, 2011
Pours a translucent black with weak head that fizzes out immediately. The bottle claims it has Scottish malts, and sure enough it tastes like a cross between a Scottish ale and a porter. Not as much roasting of the malts as I was expecting, but the Scottish malts make up for it. I’m enjoying this beer!
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Powertrip (758) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 15, 2011
Bottle purchased in Vernon, BC on 03/14/2011. Colour: Dark with the slightest blood red hues and low but reddish head. Nose: Hints of coca-cola, root beer, port, grand marnier, liqourice, coffee shop and cooked beats. A real pot pouri Taste: Medium sweet, light bitter, medium sour. Cherry lolipops, more liquorice...the red stuff, tobacco, apple, finish of toffee and coffee. This one pushes on too sweet but holds itself well and boasts a huge character profile from nostrel to esophagus! Well done Russell!

Nice black body, rather weak head. Vague and watery aroma of barley. Taste is a mix of coke, coffee, grass. Watery finish. This is a pretty poor porter.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DuffMan (4242) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 19, 2010
Bottle, shared with Parksy. Clear chestnut brown, average tan head. Aroma is roasty, a little ashy, and a little brothy. Palate is on the thin side despite the 6.5% ABV, with flavours of hard bitter roast, light wood, and a minerally finish.
