3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
I thought this was alright. Aromas of coffee and anise. Similar flavor profile. The downside is the thin and somewhat watery palate.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Barley Brothers, Winnipeg. Dark body, obviously, brown head. Quite a roast aroma, dark chocolate, coffee, but not too intense. I thought it was a bit thinner than Iíd like and the flavour was not as intense as the aroma. Still a nice porter.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Strong aroma of fruit (blackberries?) and roasted/coffee-ish malt. Pours dark brown with a decent head that starts to dissipate quickly, but a small layer lingers for a while. Medium to light bodied (especially since itís 6.5 % abv). Very malty for a porter (perhaps thatís the scottish malts talking) and has a slight roast finish. A bit too sweet for my liking.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared at Natifest í13. Poured a black color with an average frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted malt and citrus aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted bittersweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid complex brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle shared by DanielCoor- thanks again, Danny! Pours a deep, clear amber-brown color with a small off-white ring for a head. Aroma of malts- roasted, toasted, and chocolate- with some caramel sweetness. Flavor of chocolate, toast, leaves, and some coffee. Light-medium bodied, with a dry mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Why is this rated so low? Itís good.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sample at Picaroon's Beer Bash. Pretty light for a porter. Some malt, toast, chocolate and a bit of coffee, but overall pretty subdued. Body was kind of thin. Expected more from something called "Black Death".
