COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Russell IPíeh!. Quirky name - serious taste!
World Beer Cup Bronze Medal 2010.
This classic English-style India Pale Ale is well-balanced with exceptional drinkability. Generously hopped with Pacific Northwest Cascade and Willamette hops and finished with dry hopping of cascade flowers. Caramel and toffee notes, from speciality English malts, anchor the bitterness and deliver a well-balanced finish. Russell IPíeh! is part of the Russell Brewmaster Series which is a succession of small batch beers crafted for an unconventional beer drinker. Russell Brewing has been brewing premium craft beer since 1995. Our beer is 100% natural and has no preservatives. We donít pasteurize which means we donít kill the taste - you drink it the way it is brewed. Fanatical about beer, we believe that the passion and quality that goes into creating Russell beer comes through in the taste. Enjoy!

Pours a fairly clear brownish amber colour with a creamy off-white head. Aroma has a lot of caramel and toffee with some toasted malt and light hop scents. Taste is not really sweet but is consistent with mild-above average bitterness. Medium body, creamy mouth feel, average carbonation. A serviceable IPA, but nothing amazing.

341ml bottle to tulip glass, the beer pours a reddy amber with an off white head which leaves a little top. The aroma is hop forward with pine, grapefruit, lemon, orange peel and a slight biscuit note. Taste is quite good and very well balanced with a nice malt profile to back the hopping up and instead of going for sheer bitterness this beer opts for more a good hop flavour. Palate is great, very drinkable, co2 medium, body thin, nice balance .Overall...I donít know why these guys brew beers that are so split down the middle but whatever. Their good beers are great.

Bomber. Dark amber copper pour with medium opacity. Thin caramel colored head. The aroma is relatively weak, citrus fruit and resinous with a soapy quality. The taste is mild at first and grows on the palate over time with a dry bitterness on the finish. Piney and resinous with little in the way of the pac NW citrus hoppiness. Itís OK.

(bottle) hazy amber colour with a small tan head; aroma of cider; weird flavour - almost like it was not fermented properly; could be a bad bottle, I dont think it was sealed properly

Tessic (913) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 5, 2013
This IPA poured a medium amber colour with a quickly dissipating, bright white head. Scents include pineapple, spruce and grassy hops, sweet malts and little cereal. First sip was smooth with a medium bitterness and lots of hop flavours. Light to medium body with quite a lingering hop flavor on the palate.
