KrausenJockey (561), Stockton, California, USA Oct 14, 2007 Wow, found some real old notes, had this at the Korbel location prior to the move into the new digs a few years back. Very mellow balance of fruit and light bready yeast notes. A nice little abbey sipper. Great hints of future things that Vinnie has brought forth. aspidites (1268), manteca, California, USA Oct 11, 2007 Very dry and slightly musty with a touch of earth and grape skin. Soft and thin on the palate. Lingering acidic finish. luv_casks (167), USA Feb 17, 2006 Aroma: Fruity and a faintly floral
Appearance: Gorgrous shining deep Amber pours with a small head which dissipated quickly
Flavor: Sweet, a little like wine with a nice round malt flavor, seemed a little wanting for me.
Palate: Medium bodied, slightly long in the finish with malty flavors
Overall: I like this abbey style ale, but I am not too crazy about it... MrDick (265), San Francisco, California, USA Sep 7, 2002 Complex flavors are a mixture of sweet molasses or dark syrup on waffles. Chocolate and butterscotch along delicate fruit flavours like raisons and plums.
