Tap. Bright vibrant marigold thatís hazy and a thin white head. Pleasantly funky, dry, white grapeskin sourness, and slight leather in the aroma. Flavor is sour, puckering but pleasant with sour white fruits, light leather and very dry. Light body with vibrant carbonation.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from ineedbeer way way back, just cracked it open the other night.
Pours a hazy golden with a smallish head and decent lacing on the glass.
The aroma is fruit and lemon rind. Itís bright and very funky with some mineral and animal sweat.
The flavor is very tart & very lemony itís got citrus rind, vinous tart grape, dusty and woody notes. The acidity is bright but somehow well controlled.
Itís got a nice low-ish carbonation for the style, but remains sharp and lively enough.

Fresh batch 6. Huge thanks to TB for standing in line for 5 hours and klyle for opening it. Golden bubbly pour. Sour Granny Smith apples grapefruit and lemon. Very lively carbonation. Sour and tart but not over the top and very drinkable. As far as a non fruited sour this is about as good as it gets

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy straw yellow in color, hint of gold... Aroma of lemon tartness, funk, oak.... Flavor is out of this world... I'd have trouble differentiating this from a cantillon gueuze... Notes of hay, funk, oak, earth, lemon citrus... Funk on the palate... Delicious

Batch 5, bottled 10JAN12
Upon popping the cork and sticking my nose at the bottle neck, my initial response was to say aloud, while alone, "Why the shit is this not a regular?! Get your shit together Vinnie."
This is a crispy golden beer with a solid, fluffy, white cap and a resilient central emission of carb rises from the bottom. Lemon zest, manure, hay, arugula, horse hair, soil, yogurt and hell yeah emit from the aqueous solution. One of the most tart beers Iíve tasted, lemon juice, hints of bitterness, mud, weed roots, dandelion - this beer is insane. Medium bodied with higher carb than Iíd prefer (easily remedied with the amount of shaking and whiffing Iím doing) and a semi dry, yet mouth watering finish.
This is the best American Wild Ale Iíve had (sans fruit). Just. Fucking. Outstanding.

Rating 1300! Bottle shared with EricTeusink and jrob21. First and best bottle of the day for me. Pours a hazy golden pour. Scent of lemon, tart, funk, citrus. Taste is just outstanding. Green grapes, tart, lemon, some pineapple, perfectly funky, oak, lots of fruity Brett. Dry, lingering bright tartness. Hell yes.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Exira Beer Summit IV. Thanks to adnielsen for bringing this bottle. Pours a golden color with white head. Funky, vinegar, sour apple aromas. Very sour, acidic, grapefruit, green apple flavors. A little too puckering sour for me.
