Tap @ Dr. Billís. Thick white head on top of a deep amber body. Lots of lace. Lovely spruce and pine aromas. Solid body. Grassy bitterness leaves a lovely lingering finish. Gorgeous IPA.

(Hand-bottled, thanks Esa K.) Clear amber with a small, bright white head. Very crisp, lemony-piney aroma. Crisply aromatic-hoppy, pine-resiny flavor with some exotic fruitiness. Very dry and bitter mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Nicely drinkable for the amount of hops. Like the first batches of Severin, but without the cat-pee, and even drier and more bitter.

A- This beer had a huge 2 finger head right off the tap which seemed to get bigger as I drank it and left tons of lacing. It was a light orange color. S- Smell was of piney hops with a small amount of a citrus kick. The hops smelled like the amazing scent of adding hops to a wort boil, almost no other IPA that iíve had has recreated this smell T- Taste was very hoppy for a standard ipa, with blended citrus notes. Sweet pine taste seemed to dominate followed by a rich grainy fullness. M- Very crisp and carbonated but not as viscous as some of RRís other offerings. Went down very smooth. D- This beer was very drinkable. It did seem to me that it was stronger than 6 percent but none the less it went down fairly easy.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2008 If this one suffers at all itís simply from being tasted side by side with Pliny the Elder and RR IPA, both of which I really love. This is tough competition at this brewery!

Drank it on tap at the brewery. Pours light golden with a nice piney aroma. Light bodied, and very easy to drink

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2008 Sampling from Mike. Thanks again bro! Big citrus hop aroma. Orange gold color with a nice head and sticky lacing. Hops over power much everything in this one. A touch of caramel malt lends "balance", but this is how I like it. The hop resins lingering in this one forever. Freaking awesome. Best tasting ever.

Pours a pale orange color with white head. Aroma is malty with lots of citrus hops. Flavor is caramel and a bitter citrus hop finish. Great flavorful IPA I could drink this everyday.

On-tap at Toronado 2/17/08. Pours a honey yellow color, frothy white head, some lace. Smells grassy hoppy, I didnít think it was all that complex but I could be wrong. Tastes grassy, hoppy bitter. A bit resiny. Mouthfeel is thin, carbonation is somewhat subdued. Not as good as the Plinyís but a good consolation prize.

First beer in Toronado this trip, clean crisp malts great hops, and that juicyness that I have come to love from this beer, and the plineyís. Easier than the Plineys, but still bag loads of hops, simcoe? Would this get lost in the UK, Iíd love to throw this blind into a tasting...

On tap at Toronado. Light amber color, tan head. Really sticky lace, looks appetizing. Smells very juicy. Pine and citrus and fruit, great layering of different hops. Full flavored, a ton of hoppiness. Succulent pine and citrus, grapefruit, spice, pale malt, nice bitterness level. Smooth, good carbonation, extremely drinkable. Russian River really canít do any wrong.
