Nice pale gold in color with a great amount of bubbly white head that persists. Lacing also fantastic. Aroma is of grapefruit and sweet/bitter grassy hops. Taste is really good. Subtle sweetness that reminds me of fresh cut St Augustine. The bite of the hops is slight, but well balanced. Iím surprised that this beer is so drinkable. Iíve killed a full tulip already. Mouthfeel is light, bubbly, and has a nice hop sting. Might have to get a growler of this beer instead of Pliny my next trip to RR.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy gold with a longing and defined foam head. The aroma is of fresh citrus hops, mild pine, and malt grains. In the flavor I picked up on grains and a medium to high intensity of bitterness from the hops. The hops have a bit of spice kick to them in the finish. Overall this is a good beverage, very refreshing too.

Draught in Telluride. This is a blisteringly hoppy ipa with a big old wallop of flavour.

Pint on tap at Monks Cafe. Orange-golden with a lasting creamy head. Big aroma of juicy sweet orange, grapefruit, pollen and resin. Flavor begins with the same bold fruity sweet notes that turn to caramel and finish strongly with resin and a touch of slightly peppery citrus zest. Light-medium body has medium-high but smooth carbonation and finishes well dry with a light astringency that makes this one a great session IPA.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from my friend Jim. Thanks, Jim. Pours yellow orange with a beautiful one finger foamy head. A lot of bubbles coming up through the beer. Lots of retention and lacing. The aroma is incredibly intense. Unbelievable. Makes me wonder what I have been drinking all these years that called itself and IPA. I get some pine (Simcoe?) and citrus on the nose. Slight floral accent is there, too. The wonderful thing about this beer is it does not taste like so many hop bombs I have had lateley. I would describe the bitterness as medium and just toward the low end for the style. Finish is long and smooth. No harshness, just lingering bitterness. A pleasantly light sweetness balances the bitterness perfectly. The texture of the beer is creamy like the head. Medium body and mouthfeel is lightly tingly. Unlike some beers this beer does not improve as it warms. It is best drank in the first 25 minutes. Overall, a terrific beer. I intended to knock this beer down, because I am sick of all the hype surrounding the brewery. I came away from this beer with incredible respect.

Bottle: Hazy orange gold. Light white head. Very Aromatic. Fresh hops profile. Tropical, peach and grapefruit. Very clean. Hops dominate malt. Slight pine profile. Slightly sweet. Medium high bitterness. Low carbonation but persistent. Loads of weight and length. A very good beer. Classic bitter West Coast IPA. So much flavor.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Monks Cafe.
Appearance: Mildly hazy amber body with a dense light tan head.
Aroma: Pretty straight forward hop profile of grapefruit, pine and floral qualities.
Taste: Grapefruit and orange juice with floral and pine overtones. Moderately bitter with a mildly lingering pine tar.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: Great west coast IPA. This reminds me of a big pale ale. Really nice balance while having an assertive hop profile. I enjoy this more than Pliny.

The beer pours great with a golden straw color to it, a nice one finger white head, and some lacing on the glass. The beer smells great with a nice grapefruit citrus scent, mild lemon zest and white pepper too. The beer tastes great with white pepper and lemon citrus hoppiness blended together well. The mouthfeel is great as the beer is well carbonated, medium bodied, a left with a bitter mouth. Overall, a really good IPA...but it seems to be over hyped from the masses. Not to take away from its solid taste but beer does nothing to blow you away or make itself different from other American IPAs.
