On tap at the Toronado. What more can you say? It’s the grandpappy of IPAs. Pours a nice, somewhat hazy orange with a surprisingly light, thin head. Big piney and grapefruit hops waft from the glass, so you know what you’re in for. The hops take over your first sip and really show no mercy to the malt in the background. A bit unbalanced. This is straight up, O.G. West Coast IPA style. Lots of grapefruit and pinestraw. Good body with a clean, crisp and pretty dry finish. IPAs have come a long way since Vinnie first brewed this in the mid-90s, but this still holds court with the better ones of today. Cheers to a legend.

Bottle, thanks to Misterburd. Faintly cloudy golden yellow with large foamy off-white head, faint floral hops aroma, low carbonation, very well balanced hoppy taste after initial sweetness, smooth body, medium hoppy finish.A great IPA and a great choice for rating #2000!

On draught at RRBC. Pour is golden and mostly clear. Pine, citrus, lots of grapefruit, some sweet malt. It’s good.

This has been a major want. On tap at Belmont station in Portland. Pours golden Amber, white head leaves behind massive lacing powered by plenty of carbonation. Nice pine and resin nose. Taste follows with moderate bitterness. Light to medium body plus the carb level makes it borderline slamable. Pretty fucking good bruhs.

shared bottle by a friend. poured a clear deep golden colour with a white head on top. nose is heavy floral, crisp, sweet fruits, apricots, mango, grasse, grapefruit, less harsh compared to pliny, full bodied, sticky, and fruity. loved this way more than pliny that we had after this, slight bitter aftertaste, but not harsh. lovely

W smaku i aromacie BARDZO podobne do Pliny The Elder, tylko nieco lżejsze. Ogromnie aromatyczne, intensywnie owocowe, cytrusowe, żywiczne, tropikalne. Fenomenalna piana i książkowy, wzorowy lacing. Fenomenalne IPA! 6,25% alk. 14,5 BLG.

You know, sometimes expectations is no good for you? Aroma is sweeter malts, light bread notes and hops with a resinous touch. Taste is pretty solid maltjuice with pine, citrus and resin. I got an almost soapy touch in the aftertaste? Just bordering soapy, but never really tripping over. Solid bitterness.

Bottle share at Cotteridge II as Russian River Blind Pig. Many thanks to Cloin for bringing this hard-to-find IPA back fresh from the US of A. Clear orange, still, small foamy off-white head. Aroma is toffee, floral, celery, herbal hops. Body is smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is floral, powdery, toffee, salty, tangy, light fruits with a dry finish. A nice clean IPA. (3.8)

Bottle, from backlog. Golden with white head. Aroma has lot of sweet clean malts, bread, biscuit with loads of pine hops. Taste is similar, a clean sturdy malt backbona with a metric shitton of citrus, pine and resin.

On tap, super local. As described, quite hoppy, moderate lacing, low foam. Bitter taste lingers on the tongue, not unpleasantly. Nice surprise, good
