4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from my friend Jim. Thanks, Jim. Pours yellow orange with a beautiful one finger foamy head. A lot of bubbles coming up through the beer. Lots of retention and lacing. The aroma is incredibly intense. Unbelievable. Makes me wonder what I have been drinking all these years that called itself and IPA. I get some pine (Simcoe?) and citrus on the nose. Slight floral accent is there, too. The wonderful thing about this beer is it does not taste like so many hop bombs I have had lateley. I would describe the bitterness as medium and just toward the low end for the style. Finish is long and smooth. No harshness, just lingering bitterness. A pleasantly light sweetness balances the bitterness perfectly. The texture of the beer is creamy like the head. Medium body and mouthfeel is lightly tingly. Unlike some beers this beer does not improve as it warms. It is best drank in the first 25 minutes. Overall, a terrific beer. I intended to knock this beer down, because I am sick of all the hype surrounding the brewery. I came away from this beer with incredible respect.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured into a teku showing well filtered amber with sparse white foam.
The nose shows a lot of sweet clean malts with clear notes of pine in the background.
The palate is medium bodied and well carbonated. Flavors of light citrus but heavier on the pine and a clear IPA bitterness throughout. Drinks pretty standard.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
510 ml bottled on 082615. Exactly two weeks old.
L: Clear golden in color. Small head quickly settled before I even get a chance to instagram it :) very nice lancing. Beautiful appearance for sure.
S: Big fail. This one is not aromatic. If thereís no date on the bottle I would assume this is pretty old. Very light citrus, light caramel and hint of pine.
T: bland, reminds me of an old english-style ipa. I canít believe the hype of this beer. Thereís a light spicy/herbal flavors that I canít describe but noting really unique.
M: unpleasantly dry aftertaste, very bitter, and very light. Extremely drinkable but not sticky or juicy. Very good carbonation however, I really enjoyed that part.
O: Maybe the most underwhelming drinking experience. Extremely overhyped beer. This is nothing close to a good ipa, definitely below average ipa.

I could drink this all day, poured an orange color with aromas and flavors of tropical fruit, light bready malt, some citrus, and hops. This stuff is great, wish it was distributed here.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap pour at Produce Row. Little snifter 10 oz. Beautiful aroma from the onset with a great mix of subtle pine and citrus. Copper color with solid lacing and a quarter finger head. Mouthfeel is slightly oily but soft, smooth and wonderful. Nice blend of bitterness and sweetness almost pushing towards a double IPA. Aftertaste leans on those hops but doesnít feel like an overly hopped effort. Russian River delivers once again.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light hop scents, and very light in color. Light hop flavors, with maybe a slight hint of malt. Solid IPA, but not quite as good when drinking side by side with Pliny the Elder.
