COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ale with currants added and aged in oak barrels.

When we made the Toronado’s 20th Anniversary Ale, we had no idea that it would turn out to be one of our favorite barrel aged beers we would ever make. With that said, we have always wanted to make a dark barrel aged beer using 100% Cabernet Sauvignon barrels but, we never were inspired. That is, until we blended five different beers to make the Toronado beer, the tobacco character from the the dark malts blended nicely with the furit character that developed in blending. So, with Concescration we set out to make a barrel beer using all Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. No, we are not saying that this is a replica of the T-rooms anniversary beer, after all, a beer like that can never be duplicated, and, there was no fruit added to that beer as there is with this one. All we are saying is that it gave us great inspiration to brew Consecration.

Another awesome brew from RR. Dark fruits and dark malts. Mostly caramel and some tartness. Wine like of dark Cabernet and some Pinot noir character. Finishes sherry like with evident carbonation.

Ruddy brown pour. Awesome tart aroma of cherry, chocolate, plum and red wine. Flavor is simply amazing. Tart and fruity, with cherry, raspberry, plum, peach, and red wine. Rich, dry and tannic.

An essay in balance, as rich caramel malt combines with super plummy, raisiny character and vivid dark berry and bing cherry fruit. Finishes on a subtly intertwined sour note. Long fniish, all in finesse.

Bottle, shared at RBAG 2015 by Sid. Batch 007 from 2011. Very hazy golden amber, sour cherries and bready caramel, yoghurt and light funk. I could crush a lot of this

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2015 Sampler at the brewpub in Santa Rosa. Copper-amber color with small white ring. Oaky, apple tartness, plumbs, caramel. Still definitely a Sour Red, but it?s American - undoubtful. Taste is heavy on the lemon citrusness, but also plums, candied apples, and a bit bitter - feels like a heavy french red-wine, quite tanninic. Perfect mouthfeel. A truly great beer.
