Poured cloudy yellow color with a large frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Complex woody, citrus, earhty and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation and thin particles. Medium to heavy citrus balanced flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration with a small alcohol bite.
This is a refreshing standout beer. AmEricanbrew (2006), Almost, Texas, USA

Yeasty, dusty pale malt aromas with wheat and vanilla. Silky smooth mouthfeel. Very good spicy, lightly sweet, then dusty pale and wheat malt flavors with a hint of wood. Great tripel. alexanderj (2290), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Bottle; thanks to golubj. Poured an orange color with a big, long lasting white head. A nice pop of the cork. Aroma was a bit unusual; fresh herbs and spices, wood/aok, yeast, fruit and caramel. Aroma wasn’t really what I look for in this style. To me this was more of a Belgian strong ale than trippel. Flavor of Belgian yeast, fruit, oak and spices. Had higher expectations for this one, but it was still a solid beer.
