ironchefscott (176), long beach, California, USA May 5, 2008 thank you irishboy!
a nice balanced oaky aroma mixed with the estery aromas that I love......great mouthfeel...though I would like a bit more carbonation.....good allaround beer...wish it was made instead of the normal damnnation! Cornfield (4222), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA May 2, 2008 I got a few generous hits of this whilst in line at DLD from the lovely htsprint1. Thanks, my friend. It poured a slightly hazed golden body with a slender fizzy head. The aroma was yeasty, sweet pale malts, tart citrus fruit, mayhaps some pear, and a suggestion of oak. Creamy. It seems like a touch of funk and a bit of vanilla entered into the flavor, blending smoothly with sensations gathered from the nose. Very nice indeed. <font size=-4> Dark Lord Day 2008 at Three Floyds, Munster, IN, 4/26/2008.<font size=-1> kramer17801 (1750), sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 30, 2008 25 oz bottle, shared by acrdz. Pours a hazy gold body with a fizzy white head that retained very well. Nice yeasty nose with airy doughy malt. Flavor is pale doughy malt with a little bretty funkiness and a little oak, citrus fruit, and spiciness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with fizzy prickly carbonation, on the drier side. Overall, a slight improvement over the regular Damnation, a touch more complexity and depth. after4ever (1580), Brier, Washington, USA Apr 27, 2008 750, corked and baled. Thanks, SuzyGreenberg! Crystal clear orangey light amber. Light gray fizz. Big orangey creamy nose. Rich medium fizzy body. Orangey, creamy, biscuity mid-palate. Very soft mineral tang. Just indescribably lovely in every way. hophead_hans (529), Bay Area, California, USA Apr 19, 2008 Bottle. An amped up Damnation with all the yeastiness of the regualr damnation and in addition a way stronger alcohol component and of course the oak. Keeps mellowing
