Commercial Description:
We turned our regular Damnation recipe into a Tripel. It is bittered with Tomahawk and has Sterling and Cascade in the mid-boil and finish. The beer was then aged on new American oak chips for two to three weeks.

Yellow gold in color with a full head. Unimpressive nose. Flavor seems to have a fairly agressive hop character, with some herbaceous and lemon notes. Also, it’s sweet with some fruit-like flavors. The oak provides a fairly nice component, though clearly the oak influence would be more enjoyable, had it been aged in an actual barrel. Lots of heat and definately not a lot of subtlety. The finish could be longer as well, it fades quick. Just seems rough and unrefined, it lacks depth.

750, corked and baled. Thanks, SuzyGreenberg! Pours cloudy dark gold with a thin white head. Sweet aroma of brown sugar, citrus and vanilla. Sweet and creamy medium body. Taste of bread and citrus. Semi-dry spice and vanilla finish.

This Belgian Tripel pours a orange gold color from a corked 750ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with nice retention. The aroma is orange and floral, yeasty and a touch of brett. A medium bodied Belgian Tripel. The malts are fruity and sweet, with lots of orange, apricot and citrus. The hops are citrusy and floral. There is a slight touch of oak as well. Some spices, some brett and must. This beer is very hoppy for tripel, but is not overpowering and the spices, the hops and the oak blend well together. Lively carbonation. Hides the alcohol very well. This bottle has been sitting in the fridge for a year or so, wish I had a few more to age. Really nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and slightly dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

An old rating i finally got to entering. Aroma was of spices and belgian yeast. Flavor was sweet and had a light belgian yeastiness. A little alcohol that comes through but not bad for 11%.

Sampled at Alesmith release on Friday the 13th. Thanks to who ever supplied this one. Spicy clove flavors up front with some oak in the finish. Very tasty.

Bottle shared by miketd, thanks man. Poured a murky yellow-orange color with a moderate off-white head that faded slowly. Aroma of oak, yeast, sweet malt, and moderate citrus. Flavor consists of some moderate sweet fruitiness (apple, apricot, light grapes) and yeast that fade into a lighty dry, oaky finish. Nice oak character on the palate and smoother than regular Damnation. Tasty stuff.
