Bottled. I opened this by accident before it got very cold and just drank it warm and it was surprisingly good at near-room temperature. This beer has a nice cirtrusy aroma to it. Itís a medium body and goes down smooth with a sweet finish that stays at the tip of the tongue. Good beer!

750 mL Caged & Corked Bottle Light aroma of almonds, bitter orange peel, and fermented lemons in brown sugar. Pour of golden hued yellow, with percolating fine carbonation and a super silky foam of off-white. Flavor is a fairly standard Belgian Golden Strong to me, not deviating from the style too much. Lots of phenolic belgian yeasts, over bananas, dried papaya, backed with allspice, more lemons and candi sugars. Well constructed and highly drinkable! Finish has a smack of lightly tinged euro hops for balance. Well Done. Thanks Andy!

The Russian River: a great place to take your canoe and a great area to drink awesome beer. This seems to be the most popular item the brewery offers and rightfully so (though I suspect that if the Plinyís ever decide to fill bottles, then itíll be a close call as to what is more popular). Delicious from the bottle and especially delicious from the tap of a certain top-secret San Diego pub that has it in pints for $2 on Fridays! A bold Belgian strong ale thatíll hammer you flat if youíre not careful. Love it!

Sampled at the Dark Lord/Hampton Inn tasting 06. Good and clear. Golden with lots of snowy white head and lace. Mild sugary and citrus nose. Lemony. Sarts of a touch sweet with a nice citrus sour middle and a dry finish. Fullish body. Pretty damn good.

This one was a gusher, but it finally settled down so I could pour. Murky yellow-orange body, laden with sediment, thick but dissipating off-white head. Aroma of molding fruit (fermented pear and apple), white grape, spice (including clove) and a bit of bubblegum. Smells sweet but the body is a bit breadier than fruity, biscuity and estery with touches of pear, apple, and white grape playing off the dusty, toasty esters and lingering spice. I expected something sourer and funkier but Iím pleasantly surprised by how well constructed this relatively simple ale is.

On tap at Pizza Port (Solona). At first glance I donít know what to expect - looks like a lager - yellow with a good size fizzy head. One sniff and you know itís no lager. Aroma that reminds me of green apple Bubbís Daddy bubblegum from when I was a kid. Much more yeast in the taste along with green grapes, apple, and other light fruits. Really nice.

Damnation is a simple, yet delicious belgian style golden ale. Some banana flavors mix with citrus, and a fairly robust hop finish. Plus, itís on tap at my local pub for $2 during happy hour. Thatís right, 2 bucks. How you like that?

Big bottle with champagne cork. Clear, deep golden colour with a big head. Yeasty aroma with a solid dose of banana and alcohol. Sweet, warm alcohol, banana flavour, dry, yeasty and bitter finish. Full-bodied, medium carbonation. A nice interpretation of a Belgian Golden Ale (but on the way the banana flavours make you think you have ended up in Bavaria). Still a beer full of character.

Bottle from odeed: My first RR brew, Cloudy golden pour fluffy white head that left some lacing. Aroma was classic belgian, yeasty, spicy, banana... Flavor is similar with a slight carbonation. Nice and smooth, delicious.

Tap at Liarís Club & PP Solana. Hazy golden color, good carb, with small white head that fell quickly to a thin film, light lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast in a tripel style, clovey, creamy light malt, mild hops with banana & toffee aromas. Flavor is as described above with the alcohol well hidden, well into medium bodied. Very nice American offering of this style. Will remember to order this many more times to come with a smile.
