Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA Apr 22, 2009 Bottle, from Argonaut in Denver, shared with AJO and Traci Rae at the "We Got Door" Tasting. Pale yellow, lots of clean white head with some good stick. Nose of raw almonds, honey, seaweed. Lots cool sweet fruit flavor, pears, white table grapes, a bit of resiny bitterness. Soft, fairly full. Very pleasant and full of good things, but lacking a certain something in cohesiveness. WisconsinBeer (514), St Paul, Minnesota, USA Apr 19, 2009 Bottle. Batch 045. Pours a golden sunshine yellow color, with a soft foamy head. Flavor is juicy fruit - banana and pear, initially soft and then a bit tart. Not as bready as most Belgians. Finish is dry and a bit astringent, somewhat citrus like hops. Medium bodied, very fizzy carbonation. This is a damn fine beer. Tripplebrew (486), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Apr 19, 2009 Batch 045
