Bottle; pours a solid murky deep gold to light amber; white medium head; nice balance between the hop and spices. EGF 1 (#61)

Bottle. Pours a golden color (floaties) with a nice sized eggshell white head. Great lacing. Aroma is yeasty and fruity. Mouthfeel is creamy. Taste is nice and fruity with a tartness I really like. Nice Ale... reminds me of Duvel.

bottle thanks to swalden28. poured a nice hazy yellow with a white head and some lacing. aroma of lemon, earthy spices, a little banana. flavor was well balanced with lemon, spices, banana, and a nice little hop bitter on the back end. body was medium and high carbonation. a very good and well balanced brew. thanks bob for bringing this back for my brother.

Bottle thanks to Blutt59, thanks for bringing it back for me. Pours a hazy yellow with white fizzy head. Aroma is very nice, some citrus, a little barnyard, faint banana. Flavor is great, malty, some barnyard, some citrus, some hop flavor, soft hop bitter, nice! Mouthfeel is medium body with high, fizzy carbonation....Overall, very good!

Really put off by a very sloppy pour at Philadelphia beer week. My glass had so much clumpy dead yeast floating in the bottom of the glass that it looked like curdled cream, or worse, like the brewer had been sick into my bottle. Altered my perceptions, no doubt. Seemed like a dry slightly hoppy Belgian strong. Would be willing to try it again, from a different bottle.

Thanks to CaryTheDude and JakeBra for hooking me up big with this one. Mellow orange pour with a thin white head. Aroma of dried fruits, spice, light dryness. Flavor is dry with pears, nice soft carbonation. The mouthfeel of this beer is excellent: full with great carbonation. Nice dry finish. Before I knew it, I was at the end of the glass.

Bottle from the brewpub. Uncorked beautifully, lots of carbonation and aroma fragrantly bouqueted all about. Definitely got some grass and cloves in the aroma and you can almost make those flavors out among the banana and brown sugar flavors that this delicious ale serves up. Palate is so smooth and full. Overall, loved this beer, but probably won’t get a chance to try it again soon.

Batch 44. Bottle from Hi-Time Wine Cellars. Does Russian River make a bad beer? This pours a golden color with a big fluffy white head. The aroma at first is hay, some spices, grassy malt and barnyard. After it breathes a bit I get some fruit added to the scent. The flavors consist of banana and cloves with an assortment of spices that give it just a little kick with a touch of barnyard funk. This is smooth and drinkable but also quite tasty. Another terrific beer from Russian River. Re-rate 9/18/09. Batch 49. An extra in a trade from cloudskipper. Thanks Chris! Golden color and pours with a nice fluffy off-white head. Good retention. Banana, clove, apples, and some horseblanket. Crisp and clean with some yeasty spiciness and a little alcohol bite.
