pours a very hazy golden straw colour with a very large white head. aroma is very nice with bright floralness and good fresh fall fruits, belgian yeast and just a real joy to inhail. flavour is a slight bitter at first then fades lightly into a nice belgian yeasat and some fruitiness. also a touch of flowers and a little bit of sugar malts. caesar (3017), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Oct 14, 2008 Tap @ RR. Clear yellow color, short head. Flowery aroma. Taste of melon and pear, bit spicy, sweet and bitter. Nice fruity stuff. Jsawyer (282), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 12, 2008 Bomber. Into a trappist glass, a fleshy gold peach colored body with a finger of soft white head. Nice lacing. Sweet slightly cinnamon, yeast, fruity pear aroma. Sweet yeasty esters, pear, subtle hops, sweet bread, melon, clove/banana flavor. Very smooth slight dry finish. DeweyDell (155), Columbus, Ohio, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a white frothy head. Aroma is similar to a witbier... lots of yeast, cloves. I just glanced at the description and saw pear, and that really fits for the aroma. Taste - nothing surprising, smooth and moderately sweet upfront with just a hint of spice. Very dry finish. Light for my tastes, but hitting the spot right now. I’d get it again if they shipped to Ohio... BrockLanders (747), Panama City, Florida, USA Oct 9, 2008 On tap at the Falling Rock. Bright gold pour with wonderful white thick head. Nose of yeast, fruit and some grain. Flavor is sweet of yeast, cloves, spice, and banana. A very enjoyable quaff. FlssmrBrewAlum (1053), Lisle, Illinois, USA Oct 8, 2008 Sampler at the RR Brewpub (Santa Rosa, CA). Nicely hazed light golden hue with a tiny head. A touch of Belgian yeast and banana in the nose. Interesting. Very mellow estery sweetness coupled with a bite of belgian spiciness and some bitterness up front. Refreshing, but a fairly big beer. I thought this was pretty special. Cheers! f351c4v (404), Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 5, 2008 On tap @ Toronado. Pours a cloudy golden color with almost no head. Yeasty, bready aroma, pizza dough and candi sugar. Thin body, spicy, sweet breads. I’m a dubbel guy, this just isn’t my style.
