stefanje (937), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA Sep 3, 2007 750 ml bottle from bevmo. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with big white sudsy head that recedes moderately.Aroma is citrus, floral notes, thyme and yeasts. Flavor is subtle and complex with grapefruit, peanuts, honey, biscuit, oranges, bananas and walnuts. Biter hops are brief towards the finish. Mouthfeel is silky, smooth, and full with a slight astringency, there is also a good prickly carbonation. Finish is medium in duration, dry and clean. Overall this is a magnificent Belgian, I was really impressed by the clean dry palate. Will seek out again. Guerde (693), Welcome, Minnesota, USA Sep 1, 2007 (bottle, thanks Badgerben) Pours a cloudy golden with no head even with agitation. As olso2116 says this beer tasted and smelled more like a flemish sour. Aroma was mainly tart apple and cherry. The flavor was much the same with tart apple and cherry, but was not very robust. OSLO (825), Perth, Australia Sep 1, 2007 [Bottle, thanks Badgerben] Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is quite sour and nothing like other belgian ales I have tried. The taste is more like a subdued flemish sour than a belgian ale, but not bad. Pretty smooth. Nice, but I honestly did not know this was a belgian ale while I was drinking it...weird. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Jan 17, 2009

Zinister (1198), Houston, Texas, USA Aug 29, 2007 Bottle. Nice crisp gold color with thin white head. Nose is yeast, fresh fruit...and I agree with brigg...grass. Flavor is full bodied with nice carbonation. Some bitter malts with nice floral and fruit flavor. Finish is drying. Solid beer. brigg (213), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 29, 2007 (bottle) Clear shining orange-gold body with small white head. Aroma is very yeasty, sweet with grass, and fruit. Flavor is sweet with honey, fruit, moderate alcohol and very slight bitterness in the finish. Soft, full-bodied. MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA Aug 28, 2007 Bottle. 22oz. Pours a clear golden with large diminishing white head. This is a true golden though and looks better than most. Aroma is yeasty with light malt and a hint of banana and spice...not a lot there really and none of the fruits described on the label....it definitely doesn’t let you know about the flavors that will hit the tongue soon. Lightly carbonated and has some of the lively character it needs to sport the style, giving it a soft body. Flavors come in lightly sweet and with a spiciness not evident in the aroma with notes of clove and pepper. Then some light fruit and orange rind tartness then honey, and that same spicy peppery finish that came through in the front. Holy crap, every sip gets better. This is a fantastic brew. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Aug 26, 2007 Updated: Oct 25, 2008Draft at the brewpub a few times. Poured a hazy golden-light orange color. Head was white with decent retention and lacing. Aroma was of clove, distinct orange, flower blossom, and subdued banana. Effervescent and slightly sweet on the tongue with clove, fleshy fruit, citrus, and subdued pale malt flavors. Great beer.
