Commercial Description:
In the great beer producing country of Belgium, some brewers have made it a tradition to give their beers an unusual name. Sometimes the name is curious, now and then it is diabolical and other times it is just plain silly. Damnation is our brewmaster’s interpretation of a Belgian style Strong Golden Ale. It has extraordinary aromas of banana and pear with mouth filling flavors of sweet malt and earthy hops. The lingering finish is dry and slightly bitter but very, very smooth.

Poured a golden color into the glass with a small white head. Smelled of light fruit, apple, pear, candi sugar. taste was slight funk, belgian candi sugar, coming together with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable yet tasty.

750 ml bottle from bevmo. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with big white sudsy head that recedes moderately.Aroma is citrus, floral notes, thyme and yeasts. Flavor is subtle and complex with grapefruit, peanuts, honey, biscuit, oranges, bananas and walnuts. Biter hops are brief towards the finish. Mouthfeel is silky, smooth, and full with a slight astringency, there is also a good prickly carbonation. Finish is medium in duration, dry and clean. Overall this is a magnificent Belgian, I was really impressed by the clean dry palate. Will seek out again.

(bottle, thanks Badgerben) Pours a cloudy golden with no head even with agitation. As olso2116 says this beer tasted and smelled more like a flemish sour. Aroma was mainly tart apple and cherry. The flavor was much the same with tart apple and cherry, but was not very robust.

[Bottle, thanks Badgerben] Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is quite sour and nothing like other belgian ales I have tried. The taste is more like a subdued flemish sour than a belgian ale, but not bad. Pretty smooth. Nice, but I honestly did not know this was a belgian ale while I was drinking it...weird.

Bottle. Nice crisp gold color with thin white head. Nose is yeast, fresh fruit...and I agree with brigg...grass. Flavor is full bodied with nice carbonation. Some bitter malts with nice floral and fruit flavor. Finish is drying. Solid beer.
